Good price for Lenovo i5 gen 5. You can also pair it with 6% Amazon GC from ShopBack and $10 for $350 spend for further saving. Looks like, it has one USB C 3.2 for more future proofing.

  • Oh, didnt see the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5. I just bought the Lenovo Yoga C740

not sure if the yoga is a better buy for a kid at school? Yoga seems to be older model, but maybe better build and model? brighter screen, better colours.

    hmm. choices…

edit: ok, cancelled and swapped for the Flex.

    • Eek, is there any reason why you cancelled? Hoping the extra $100 more for the additional performance worth it (???)

      • +1

The flex is cheaper and newer than the Yoga. Also reviews showing more positive compared to the Yoga which already discontinued now.

  • The Ryzen option has better graphical performance.

  • Can't be upgraded to 16GB?

    • +1

Seems like it comes with 4GB soldered + 4GB stick, so can be upgraded to 12 or 20.
Tbh this configuration seems like a good compromise between needing to cut down on space to make a thin laptop and still allowing upgradeability.

      • Spec sheet said 12GB supported, but if it can accept a 16GB module for 20GB total that'll work for me.

  • Thanks OP, I grabbed the Flex 5 for my daughter for school. Seems a pretty decent price, not bad performance and good enough for school requirements.
Around 100 bucks cheaper than anyone else too.

  • $1318 now lol
