    • Thanks, that link is better. At first looks, the pro version looks nice.

I like to ride my bicycle I like to ride my bike….

I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like.
It's got a basket, a bell that rings
And things to make it look good.
I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

  • Hrm, out of curiosity, anyone know about the hardware that can work with it?
    "Compatible Hardware
    • Runtastic sensor package with super-accurate speed, cadence and heart rate monitors"

I found runtastic.com but the on-line store is still coming?

Looks like it works with the Wahoo ANT+ Dongle and ANT+ Heart Rate Monitor; I'm guessing it'll work with ANT+ cadence and speed sensors too (if you have the dongle).

There's usually coupon codes available for Wahoo stuff as well.

  • I'll certainly check this out, but I have been using Endomondo app (http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/endomondo-sports-tracker/id33…) which I find is better than the previous runtastic cycle app (Cyctastic Pro)
There is a pro version of the endomondo one but I don't think it's good value at $5.49. I got it at $.99 recently but don't notice much difference.

  • I'm still on Runkeeper.

I know with runkeeper, you can hook up a HRM and cadence over standard Bluetooth, only if you jailbreak. I wish apple would just open up the Bluetooth or ANT+ already built in (for Nike) as I can't use the Wahoo stuff because of my LifeProof case (which is the only one I've not destroyed - although its getting close)

  • Great app with great features, I especially like the different map layers such as open street map. It doesn't look like you can map out your rides before you do them which is a deal breaker for me as I like to explore new areas of Sydney on my bicycle so I really need to know where I am going.
