    Blah blah.. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Looks like its already dead

    • Nope, it looks fine to me.

You are looking at the dirt and not the grass side. The grass bits sticking out looks green enough to me and soil doesn't look too dried out either.

    Any Cow Rolls?

  • A couple of weeks ago my local (VIC) was clearing out an old pallet for $2 a roll. Not that I need any personally but wonder how healthy out has to look for it to be worth it rather than just dying soon anyway.

You could say they were turfing them out at that price

      • +1

Grass isnโ€™t greener on the other side

  • not the best weather to be laying turf,

    • I did it a week or two ago. Have been watering once a day and we have been getting rain every other day SE QLD even though its very hot. The turf was cut for a few days before they were laid and dying quickly but its mostly all turned green already. Its wintergreen too.

    Buffalo Turf Roll $5

    My buffalos love this stuff.

    Thanks for posting…

    • I wouldn't. Buffaloes eating buffalo grass have a higher chance of catching prion diseases

  • Subway - eat fresh

  • OP is this good grass?

  • 30msq barely gets a small nature strip.

Isn't it normally $7 for a fresher stack?

    • No, you'll never get Sir Walter for $7 unless, like this, it's Bunnings wanting the old stock gone.

  • Normally they are $15.15 each. If they are discounted, it's usually pretty dried. If its 5 bucks it is probably acceptable. I have seen as low as 50 cents each roll.

Yep, about $7 is the normal price.

I use 3 of these panels for a square doggy poop area I created in my tiled courtyard, and replace/refresh them every few months or so.

I found the grass does need to be pretty healthy for it to take hold and grow. I bought some before and two of the panels were a little dead/dry and just never got better. For the last batch I made sure I got super fresh rolls and it has been growing fantastically since. So for me, I would pass on this bargain…

  • Picked up for $3 at Bunnings Coburg Vic but yeah this stuff just isn't as fresh

  • Rollin', rollin', rollin' Rawhide!

    It's a Buffalo turd roll….

They normally discount down to this price before a new batch is due to come in, If you frequently visit Bunnings or speak to the staff you can generally get the day before delivery right.
I done about 1/2 if my front nature strip at half price, Some of the pieces were rather bad but with constant watering it did okay.

Whilst paying RRP and getting the whole thing done in 1 go looks best for half the price and only half the amounts at about 85% now, Hoping its fully filled in another few months.

    • Progress pics?

  • OK for small places, but as I found out to my regret, if you're covering significant areas a roll of turf is much easier to lay evenly than patches.

    • These are rolls of turf. It even says so in the title. Note that although they are 1sqm in area, they are rectangular, not square.
