Pakistan is now the cheapest Netflix country.

Mobile - PKR250 ($AUD 1.31)
This one is useful for individual that only access via tablet.

Basic - PKR450 ($AUD 2.35)

Netflix Standard HD Plan – Rs 800/ month. = 4.15
Netflix Premium Plan – Rs 1100/ month. = 5.7

  1. Use UrbanVPN and signup using a Pakistani tunnel. UrbanVPN is free if you download from the Google Play store. N.B. The iOS version doesn’t have Pakistan as one of the options.
  2. Pay with new digital bank account. Turn off VPN and enjoy.
  3. Turn off VPN and enjoy.

Mod: Not available to Australians as they don't accept any non-Pakistani credit/bank cards.

    Just signed up using hotspot shields free trial. The price was shown in pkr (1000 in this case) but when I started the payment it took $22 from my account. Cancelled right away off course, but that $22 is lost.

      It's possible you messed up the process by not using the VPN correctly or something. In the case that it works for others, but didn't for you, that doesn't make it an objectively bad deal, just a bad experience subjectively.

        Totally agree. It's not a bad deal, but it's a terrible post.

        First of UrbanVPN doesn't connect at all (and apparently it has removed Pakistan entirely). Secondly, the deal needs Pakistani CC, and good luck trying things like Wise.

    You might want to read the news on why the PK currency is falling. The country is on the verge of financial collapse and/or a civil war so not sure if it will become cheaper or Netflix will pack its bags and go away.
    Best to stick with current subscription country.

    Doesn't Netflix, Disney Puss, etc delete shows from their catalogue depending on the country being 'served' video (the country you sign up in)? i.e. The state religion of Pakistan is islam right? And they're known to go apes__t over simple things like drawing cartoons. So if you sign up to Netflix via Pakistan doesn't it naturally follow you're going to lose a huge chunk of their video catalogue (given Netflix is obsessed with including non-muslim things like homosexuality in every show)?

      If turkey netflix is anything to go by. The vpn is only for paying for it. Once paid. You are served aussie content as you are on an aussie ip address and your account is treated as an aussie netflix account.

      So it's a good deal for a minority of people, still makes it a good deal. Not everyone can get all deals. There's been deals in the past for people who are broke and homeless and need a free meal, and although 99% of people here don't use it, it's still a good deal.

    I just cancelled my AU subscription, logged out. Installed Urban VPN chrome extension, enabled PK. Logged back in Netflix. Tried adding PK debit card as a backup payment method but it keeps saying "Sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again later." The card is enabled for int'l transactions too. Any leads please?

      try reading through the comments here - AU cards won't work, doesn't matter if it's enabled for 'int'l transactions'. matter of fact, all credit cards that are a master, visa or amex can transact globally, it's whether there's a foreign transaction fee that sets credit/debit cards apart. can't believe you missed 3 pages of people saying this deal is near impossible to get unless you have a friend in pakistan..

    For the benefit of others, I've also tried Malaysian and Singaporean cards in addition to Aussie cards. None work.

    My existing Netflix PK subscription (from about a year ago) is still valid - back when it was still accepting foreign cards.

    Even if you sign up, under new password sharing policies, you will need to login using the same WiFi address every 30 days. It will be interesting to see what happens when the new policy starts to kick in.
