    • that's an ok machine if you can't afford this, but this dual boiler is an excellent value

      • For the amount of hot drinks we make it isn’t worth getting a dual boiler. However the baby machine has made a big difference to the quality of the drinks we make. I agree if you want the bigger machine this is excellent value. We got the Bambino Pus at $360 from GG Commercial, before prices went nuts. Got the man the Breville grinder as well. Getting him onboard was extracting teeth but he appreciates the purchases now.

  • Anyone figured out how to increase the pre infusion time on this thing?

    • Nope. I’m still wondering if the LOUD noise is normal or something not right.

Also wish the Breville almost-all-year-round redemption is on, would like to see if their tutorials are any different than free online how-to’s.

yes same here, mine makes a lot of noise, probably light and cheaper materials rattling

    • With most of the Breville's, hold down the button for as long as you want the preinfusion to be, release for full pressure.

It is that for the bambino plus anyway

    • Hold up and down button together then you can change the pre infusion time

    • I thought you could do manual pre infusion by holding onto the button and releasing when you wanted to end the preinfusion

  • Do I need the dual boiler? And is the Breville smart grinder pro sufficient or is there a similarly priced alternative that is preferred?

Edit: I see that the dual boiler allows for milk steaming and coffee pulling at the same.time. I drink espressos but my partner likes her coffee as a flavoured milk, so I suppose the dual boiler will be worth it for her

Dual boiler possibly best bang for buck, need a much better grinder than the smart grinder though.

    • You don't absolutely need it, but if you make multiple milk drinks a day it's a big advantage, and this is the cheapest dual boiler on the market by a long shot, just look at the prices for the rancilio Silvia pro X for example to see the prices of a similar competitor.

  • Thanks OP, just pulled the trigger. Looking forward to upgrading from the Bambino Plus that appears to be nearing end of life.

Massive wtf from bing Lee for me. My machine arrived last week. My grinder arrived today from expresso shop so I opened everything up.

My machine has missing accessories, caked on coffee residue on the group head and is full of scratches and smudges. Clearly they've sent me a used unit and have tried to pass it off as new.

    Buyer beware!
