  • do you need to pay shippng?

    • +1

Yeah it says just pay shipping. $16.57 Standard to Perth, or $35 express.

      • +1

They also added"taxes" of $1.66 on top for me

        • +4

There's 2 comments below they still haven't received the item last time it was posted.

The catch with this kind of marketing is you didn't actually pay anything for the product so most likely your refund will be $0.00.

@WatchNerd: I cant even think of a reason to have that many…..

I even bought a proper one from bunnings and I haven't needed yet

Only use is grinding/cleaning under a car, doing something above your head.

          • @WatchNerd: I wonder if they have shares in Centrecom.

    • +12

I believe it will be good protection when doing the edges off my lawn with a whipper snipper.

    • +9

You don't believe that dust can fall onto your face when doing ceiling work/cleaning? Or chemicals blowing back when spray weed killers? Strange small world you live in.

      • That's what work goggles/glasses and a mask are for..

        • I said fall onto your face. Glasses and mask do not cover your face, only parts of your face. Chemicals can still burn your Forehead and cheeks. Many msds for chemicals recommend using face shields in addition to glasses btw.

      • hokofan was likely referring to believing that face shields prevent/ reduce COVID-19 transmission. they don't and wearing a mask is preferred.

        • +1

Yes we all got that 😉

    • +3

Yes, PPE I believe is very convenient in not losing eyes or damaging the face.

  • +7

Not sure why I would want a fkn enormous box of medical face shields. Can't even bring myself to buy now and think later.

    • For the next pandemic..

      • guaranteed by Bill Hates

All the unnecessary plastic waste, and it doesn't even work. Maybe they can add some tints and market it as UV-shields for people who are allergic to the sun…

    • +2

Go on, I'll bite. How can they "doesn't even work"?

And no, what your mate Jonno said on Facebook isn't proof.

      • +1

        Not even "trust me bro"?

        /s

for preventing covid-19 transmission, masks work. face shields don't.

        • nobody claims these are for preventing covid-19 transmissions though.

they also don't work against getting hit by a truck, but that's not the point either

          • @MrTweek: So you're telling me wearing this won't prevent a shark attack? Not wearing it while swimming in shark infested water then. 🙃

  • +3

I use these for gardening ever since getting a stick in my eye, but shipping was quite hefty and I don’t need 200. I’ll stick with my Bunnings eye protection.

    • +3

How big are your eyes? Or are you a cyclops with one enormous, central eye?

    • +1

have you considered just going something a bit more practical (and arguably more protective for eyes) like safety goggles?

I now religiously use safety goggles when working with tools like line trimmer etc after I accidentally hurt my eye during gardening…

  • +7

Comes down to 0.09115 cents a Face Shield.

P.S. please don't buy and think later, lets not be environment wasteful unless you have a use for them.

    • +1

Buy 200 face shield sell for $1 each. Profit?!?!

      • +1

Assuming you can actually sell them then yes otherwise most will buy then either leave in storage or throw away later.

        • HODL for the next infection surge / lockdown.

      • +1

Says they were originally flogging these for $300

        • $1.50 each it is. 🙃

    • 0.09115 cents a Face Shield.

You sure you meant to say cents and not dollars?

  • Anyone in Melbourne wants to go halfsies? I don't need this many and I'd hate to see so much plastic go to waste.

    • +1

So you're saying you do need it. Username not checking out.

      • +1

In a way, I don't need this (which is 200pcs).

  • +3

Between gardening and cleaning I can definitely find a use for these.
200 is an awful lot so I'll offer them to friends and family.
I use protective glasses in the garden but they fog like crazy no matter what.

    Also the impending zombie apocalypse

    • +1

      Also the impending zombie apocalypse

Are you going to offer them to the zombies?

      • +5

No silly. You wear this while wielding a chainsaw so you don't get blood splatter on your face.

    • This is unlikely to offer any sort of protection compared to your current glasses.

  • +11

Hi guys, I don't post often but decided to here. Please be careful with this mob.

I have still not received any from the previous post. I have contacted both the seller (HLP Medical Supplies) who insists they have been sent and there are problems with the tracking number and the sender (CouriersPlease) who insists they have not received the items for sending.

Most likely solution would be a refund (if possible) and wasted time. Buy at your own risk

    • +1

This is my EXACT experience with the last order. Same excuses.

    • -1

It is legit though, I received my 200 face shields a while back so it might be an issue with CouriersPlease

      • +2

Couriers Please are dreadful and basing this on many past experiences so can only guess the issue is with them. I refuse to order items that get shipped using them and go elsewhere if the supplier has no alternate shipping method (they are that bad)! No excuse though for HLP not to resolve customer issues!

        • Couldn’t agree more, I nearly flew into a rage and attacked the middle aged delivery loser when I went out to the depot to see if my package was there. C******s please.

  • +2

These seem faulty, I can still see her face through it.

    • Shielding others from

      beauty

      • Do you come with the face shield?

        Oh you, hehehehe..

  • +4

I still haven't received mine from the last time this was posted back in early December.

  • One of these and blue coveralls. You can go anywhere.

Even more than a high vis vest.

  • what house hold use can this be used for?

    • I cant even think of a reason…..

I even bought a proper one from bunnings and I haven't needed yet

Only use is grinding/cleaning under a car, doing something above your head.

      • +1

I've used it for cleaning the gutters so I don't get dirt / mud on my face and cleaning the shower

    • deep frying pork crackling 8-)

      • Cutting onions.

  • Has anyone received the "free" ones from the last deal?

  • +3

Still waiting for mine. Over a month. Lots of excuses why it hasn’t been delivered yet. Just be warned.

  • Bought 300 last time and gave away 270 of it!!

  • seriously, who is buying these?

  • Covids over guys - move on.

    • -1

you know some people are so bought into it they can't back out, nor can they. can't uninject themselves.

  • stopping covid since 2020

  • so it is sold out. wonder how many people got it

  • I've received tracking information that seems to be working

  • Got order cancelled and refund but not happy.

    • See if we get the refund.

  • Technical issue sms
    ? Wtf

    • Charged me double than yesterday for same qty for shipping. I needed them, so has no option, still cheap.

  • Just reporting that my order came through today (Adelaide).
Very happy with the whole thing (and very good quality for disposable shields).
Couriers Plus delivered and I had tracking information from the very next day.
    Shipping ended up $18.

    • Oh, and my use case… I will be using these as face protection when handling UV resin for 3D printing. Plus I'm sure they'll come in handy for odd jobs around the house where I would have reached for goggles… but these shields are a lot clearer than my goggles, and with so many I can just throw them out when they get foggy/scratched
