    I've got this.
It's alright. Headband started peeling pretty quick. Non audiophile but I can't tell the difference between this and the cloud 2s

    • +5

Mine is peeling, too. The build quality cannot be justified at its price point

      • +2

The sound and mic are actually fantastic at this price point. I've had headphones cost much more and peel. A simple cover will solve this small issue.

      • I believe you can replace the headband. Not ideal though

gets pretty steamy during summer unless you got decent ventilation

Great deal on what I’d consider to be a pretty decent pair of entry level gaming headphones. Audio quality is clear, strong and rich, and everyone I play with says my speech coming through from the mic is crystal clear.

The only caveat, from my experience, is that the padded ear cups aren’t very big or deep, so the edges of my ears rub against the insides of the cups, and this gets very painful after a while.

I don’t think I have especially large ears (the 3 sets of gaming headphones my kids own fit me fine, plus my brother’s Astro A50s, and 4 sets of audiophile-tier headphones my mate owns), so this might be an aspect to consider before purchase.

If you don't need the mic, get proper headphones. You wouldn't want to be paying more than $70 for this product any more (or arguably, ever).

If you need the mic, get a cheap desk mic and get proper headphones.

If you need a headset, wait for this year's Bluetooth LC3 Plus low latency tech and move on from companies that refuse to make a real investment in speaker engineering and implementation.

    • what headphones could you recommend? I did already buy these though so imma still use them.
what do you classify as proper headphones?

      • +2

        For closed back?

        Takstar Pro 82 @ $75-$80
        AKG K361 @ $90-$120
        Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro @ $120-$140
        AKG K371 @ $150-$170

For IEM, Truthear HEXA @ $112

Then there's discounts, cashbacks and gift cards. AliExpress and Amazon will be your friend for most of these deals.

Thank you, I will def save that list for future reference. cheers

        • Actual Amazon prices

          Takstar Pro 82 @ $215.63
          AKG K361 @ $159.44
          Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro @ $257.22
          AKG K371 @ $234.52

For IEM, Truthear HEXA @ $111.99

          • @apoptygma: These were sales prices, but you should be trying to secure the Takstar Pro 82 v2 on AliExpress, probably via the TakstarAudio store.

That would be below this deal price well and truly.

MWave is the place to go for the DT770 deals when they appear a few times each year, while the all-time low for the Alpha is around $75.

The AKG headphones are in short supply because they are incredibly popular.

Google Shopping is your friend for a wider price check than what you've wandered in here with, and you can check deal history and frequency for these models on OzB.

pulled the trigger & shot yourself in the foot by the sound of it

    • she'll be right

I like mine. Better than the sennheiser open backs

I have these, bought like 7 years ago. The cups fell apart but replaced with nice aftermarket ones. Headband still good. Good for $120

  • Used to be $79, no point paying 120 for it
My son has it, biggest advantage - it is quite comfortable.
    Sound quality is mediocre
