[Unobtainable Deal] ChatGPT Plus Subscription $22 USD Per Month @ OpenAI

Moved to Forum: Original Link

So it seems like OpenAI has enabled us Aussies to upgrade to a ChatGPT Plus subscription.

If you log into ChatGPT, on the bottom left it'll give you the option to 'Upgrade to Plus'

Benefits to ChatGPT Plus include:

  • Available even when demand is high
  • Faster response speed
  • Priority access to new features

Probably worth it for some of you.

Edit: Keep in mind the free version still exists so don't get it if you don't feel like you will benefit from it. But originally the monthly price was going to be over $40, but it's instead $22, so I thought it was worth posting here.

Mod: OP put the price as A$22 instead of US$22. As this is the incorrect price, the dealis unobtainable.

@WatchNerd: Oh hell yes - of course OzBargain is a great advertisement platform for small to medium sized business' and large corporations at no cost.
            I just bought 12 :-)

    NICE!
    More daily dose of misinformation.

  • whats the turkey price, or pakistan price lol??

  • I'd rather wait for the API to release tbh. It should work out cheaper than paying for this with a similar level of priority (no downtime).

That was how it was for DALL-E model which is like over 50% cheaper through API using only a couple lines of code compared to buying credits through their website.

  • Not a bargain, RRP.

    WokeGPT

  • Not a deal, end of story

  • Not a deal, this is the regular price. Put in forum.

  • Not a deal, spam ads post

  • People in the US who have it are complaining that it is just as frequently unavailable as the free version

So apart from coding and cheating on school assignments, what other applications has it been used for?

Also, not sure if you can legit ues it for meetings and reports unless it's been approved by your management - the response style is very generic and repetitive each time.

  • No deal

There are many free language models and chatbots available, and a subscription fee may not seem justified unless the additional features and benefits offered are perceived as worth the cost. Ultimately, the decision to pay for a subscription service is a personal one and depends on individual needs and preferences.

  • Sorry, this is just RRP. And it was free before

It's $22 USD.. Is anyone else getting AUD? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

    • +2

Nah, it's definitely $22 USD/month, loosely translating to $32 AUD a month. Definitely not worth it for what essentially equates to 'faster responses'.

  • I can’t decide if this is just another overpriced subscription or if it’s insanely cheap for access to a practically-all-knowing supercomputer.

Does this subscription enable you to use it as a search engine? Can you use it as a voice assistant?

  • Guys how does it compare against the free version? Do you get anything else besides the faster speeds and availability? They’ll
Probably add some more features so time will tell.

    • Subbed earlier, you get a turbo mode which is significantly faster but other than that it seems identical to the free version. Despite being a subscriber, I'm still experiencing poor availability with constant "We're currently processing too many requests" errors.

  • How do I get it for $22AUD? I am seeing $22USD.

it's 22USD. Price should be reflected in the title.

I asked ChatGPT what OzBargain is:

A web forum where deviant overconsumers with large disposable incomes like to congregate.

That didn’t sound right. I asked it to elaborate:

There is also a subculture of parasitic cheapskates who like to share exploits and engage in fraudulent financial gain at the expense of businesses and by extension their honest customer base.

I assume there must be another OzBargain out there. Such irrelevant rubbish!

  • 20 reports for “not a deal” and no action? Are mods asleep?

    • +1

Sometimes the conversation of a deal is just as important as the deal itself.

      • +3

        OzConversations?

        • +1

          Lol.

  • +1

    Free version is the deal

  • Could possibly be tax deductible if you can substantiate its work related

I am 100% wfh. Well, I was, until I just let ChatGPT take over. I didn’t bother telling anyone, and I keep getting e-mails that my performance is much better than usual. I’m kind of offended, but I just roll with it seeing I am now unburdened from all that regular shit

  • Thanks OP, got any other full-priced subscriptions you want to advertise here?

    • +2

That’s mean. Take a good look at yourself in a mirror, but by all means, keep being you

    • +1

      Nevermind.

  • Wooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Cant really see how this is an upgrade from free? It works fine. What are the special features and are they really that special?

  • $20usd now ?
