Great price on a great flash. Can someone confirm if the price drop is due to new models coming in?

    • +5

The 910 is a revision to correct an overheating issue that was occurring with the 900. So there would be a move to clear the 900's. No significant other improvements in the 910.

That said the overheating is an issue that is usually only experienced in serious continuous flash shooting. If this is not an issue for how you will shoot then you are probably fine with the 900.

Good price! :) to bad it aint canon and I already have a 580 EX II,

  • The SB-910 is out, nothing new apart from that is coming out though as far as we know….

Note: The SB-910 is currently $597, so this is a steal!

      • +4

SB-910 is currently $411 from DWI

was about to say just another rep blowing there own trumpet and thowing the smash word around, where typically they think they smash is what little faith i have left in them… but this is surprisingly a pretty decent price :P

now if only the d600 where out at a reasonable price and this went with it…

how about some deals on canon stuff :) I've been looking at your store for a while now and was curious about the prices and pickup etc, so your goods are imported? but are stocked locally correct?

    • Keep an eye out, you never know what Canon sales might come around. The majority of our goods are imported, all of our Canon and Nikon are, but yes we keep stock locally here on the Gold Coast and everything get's repaired in Australia, and has GST paid on it :)

      • I see good deal! I was recently inquiring to a post made by digital rev about import costs etc, they came up front and said they will pay all import duties directly! how odd? I've never made an online purchase higher then $1k so I've never experienced it, but I do like how you have good prices and are at the gold coast ;)

      • How to you handle warranty claims for someone who is not located in Gold Coast?

        • If you are on the Gold Coast you can just drop it back off to us, if not it will need to be posted back to us for inspection, and then we send it onto an authorised repairer for that brand. Cheers!

    • +1 for deals on Canon. But Canon prices on DWI are quite decent, I'll be making a few purchases soon - at least a body (70D/650D), a flash (600).

    Great price.
Just pray you don't have to deal with Renee.

Worst customer service rep there when I tried ordering a product in April.
She tried bluffing me and said she would cancel my order if she didn't hear from me by COB that day.
I was happy not to give them my money after she said that. Didn't bother calling, and wanted them to cancel.
1 week later, my order was still pending…had to ring and cancel in the end.

    Thumbs down to Renee..

Wow what a shocking experience. Was about to submit my order but after reading this I don't want to risk her processing my order. Thanks for the heads up.

    • Uhm…. sounds like a pushy sales rep!
      Thanks for the fore warning…

        Hi Guys,

Just letting you know Renee isn't with us and hasn't been for a couple of months. Apologies for the issues. We would cancel an order if you haven't picked it up or paid for it within 3 business days, unless otherwise arranged, or if we couldn't get a hold of you to verify the credit card details.

Once again apologies for this, and I can assure you any future orders will not have this issue.

        Cheers!

  • eh.. the SB910 is 411 + delivery @ DWI - so still cheaper - especially if there are little to be said in the way of upgrades.

    • Sounds about right, if only we didn't have to pay GST, Duty and Taxes in Australia!

Coupon code for $5 off still works - July5Off

Didn't buy the speedlight, but this bag was very cheap http://www.camerasdirect.com.au/acme-made-the-stella-camera-…

    • Thanks mate ;) Went ahead and purchased! I looked around at other places and its around $70 or so so thought why not! I was looking for a camera bag that could hold a small amount of my gear, considering I have a body and 6 other lenses + flash etc, there are times when I only need one set of gear

    • That bag is an amazing price, much love to you for sharing!!
