Which model?
I got the 2m x 2m awning for $49 a while back. It's a decent awning for the price but it's a bit small. I wish I'd gone for the 2.5m one.
Did they have the correct amount of nuts and bolts to fit? Fitting videos suggest not.
Nope. They came with the 'L' shaped brackets and a few random bits but I ended up using nuts and bolts that I had already.
Seems to be the common theme among reviewers. Interesting that instead of adding some nuts and bolts to the kits Anaconda has just washed their hands and added a rider. I returned an SCA awning for the same reason - the fitting kit didn't have the required bits, although in their case it wasn't just a few nuts and bolts. When I took it back the rep said they'd had quite a few returned for the same reason.
The rrp on these are total bs
how do these attach to the car? Can they attach to a standard roof rack 'through' type?
Fitting Kit Included. However, additional fittings may be required, to fit awning to your roof rack (not included).
I had to buy additional nuts/bolts to fit it to a Territory factory roof rack.
The fitting kit seems to be very basic, but at least it included the 'L' brackets.

Haha, we have a small Jayco caravan and put one of these on the back, rear entry.. Then put a Kings awning tent underneath. bloody brilliant and takes minutes for the Mrs to set up while I have a beer..lol
