          @AircraftFreight: Rimowa has a lifetime guarantee. Who ends up paying for the replacement?

            @he88388: That only applies to newer suitcases - mine was bought in 2016 where it was only a 5 year warranty. For all suitcases bought after 26 July 2022 - its lifetime.

                @he88388: Travel insurance (through work - CHUBB) will be paying for the repairs but its looking like its going to be cheaper to get a replacement unit all together.

                Might give them a call to see what I can do later today.

              @AircraftFreight: interesting to know, altho I have always claimed my damages thru airlines/travel insurance, it's pretty much the only way for Rimowas to be damaged.

                @evilbamboo: I can assure you for a fact that Qantas will not be reimbursing me cost of a new Rimowa suitcase - period.

  These are being discontinued because QANTAS fly to Haneda now, not Narita.
