Ohh. And $10 from referral credits too. Anyone has any feedback about whether its easy and straightforward to fet the referral bonus?

    • Can you do cashrewards and the referral bonus though?

      • Oh good point. I dont know.

      • +3

        Yes

        • Are you sure? I think someone said it didn't track for them?

          • +5

@archieduh: If you're going based off the comment further down on this post, they didn't mention anything about Refer a Friend. You are able to stack the Cashrewards cashback and Refer a Friend bonus. They're completely separate processes - you enter the referral code after the service is purchased, activated etc.

    • +2

I haven’t got one yet but you need to wait 35 days after being active and then you can get your referral link. My FIL just used mine but waiting on the eGift card.
Ps great deal OP thanks for sharing.

      • Did you get notified when someone uses your referral link?

        • I think so. Get so many emails so I’m not 100% sure.

        • +2

You do get a notification email when someone enters your Refer a Friend code (the email doesn't contain the redeemer's details)

  • Ummm, this or the coles mobile $119

    • This one doesn't mention international calls.

    • +6

      Telstra or Optus

    • +1

Coles is good value, but on optus. So depends on your coverage needs and availability

      • I have a dual sim phone with works telstra sim so il probs go with the coles one. Cheaper, international calls, and a backup network if Telstra dies

    • +3

If you shop at Woolworths, this

  • +5

When do you need to activate this by?

    • If you want the $11 cashback - 30 days according to Cashrewards terms.

  • +4

Last time I bought from woolies mobile it didn’t track on cashrewards, support didn’t approve it either.

  • -1

I joined Woolworths Mobile on a previous deal about 6 months ago. Gave it a chance and it has been rubbish. If you reside in Western Sydney I would definitely not recommend joining. Only bonus is the free Rewards Extra subscription and the 10% off with your Woolies shop.

    • +4

Must be the area as it’s on the Telstra network. The bonuses are much better than most telcos. You forgot data rollover and data gifting. Perfect for couples or families. The savings on the 10% off alone is worth it IMO.

      • +2

        +1 on perfect for families.

I have myself, my wife and 2 kids signed up. We put wife & kids on cheapest woolworths plan (15gb for 6 months), and I went on this 180gb plan. Works out to about $12/month per person. When we travel they all tether off me, or when they use all their data i'll just gift them data. My wife occasionally adds $5/month for international calls.

We have home broadband so don't tend to use a whole lot of mobile data - only when travelling, or at work etc.

We also considered the $80 Aldi family plan… but it's way more mobile data than we need.

        • Nice one, my oldest of 2 is up for a new SIM soon so I wasn’t sure which plan to get him on so thanks for the suggestion. We also don’t use much data so this is perfect for us. Even for families that use more data there are higher plans to suit.

      • Bonus and features are great. However at various times in the month the web browsing will just stop to a stand still. Almost like I've run out of data but I'm not even close to the data cap. Can't load instagram & forget youtube videos…

      • +2

Yeah I moved from Boost to Woolies a couple years ago and it's been great.

For me it was mainly because:

Boost moved to 28 day expiry, which I hated. Just a sneaky way of them squeezing an additional 1 month charge out of customer in the year. Woolies is 30 day expiry.

Data bank is awesome. It seems I don't use anywhere near the 42GB per month I get as my 500GB databank is completely full. Went on a couple trips and kids splurged on my bank and did not even make a dent. Was filled up again a few months later. I have zero data concerns with usage. Liked it so much I moved my partner to the same plan. She is also at max bank cap of 500GB right now.

$35 per month, was $5 cheap than the Boost plan. Nuff said.

I know they use the budget Telstra 4G network but I have never had an issue and Stream Netflix regularly at work during lunch.

Didn't know about the data gifting thing, so just got a new bonus for free. Thanks for that :-)

        • if both of you're maxing out 500gb then it's time to move one to the cheapest plan and start gifting data, the $60/6 month plan is great option to leech off data off the other person

      free Rewards Extra subscription

Is this a thing? I have been with WM for about 2.5 years and have never seen or heard about this.

      • I’d like to know this too.

      • Where does it say that?

      • +3

It's doesn't come with Woolworths extra, but if it did that would be incredible.

    • +3

Wait a min… where does it say you get free Rewards Extra subscription?

You do get 10% off a month, but that's different to the Rewards Extra subscription.

      • +1

I don’t think you get Rewards Extra subscription, I had to Google it to find out what it is and I don’t have it as an existing Mobile customer.

    • +1

This is such a how long is a piece of string comment…

It all depends where the majority of your use case would be, which is mainly at home. And therefore dependant on what towers are around you, obstructions around you, if you have a colorbond or tin roof vs roof tiles, etc etc

      • Obviously. Just sharing my experience with them at the moment.

        • Fair enough. But "If you reside in Western Sydney I would definitely not recommend joining"…

Your neighbour down the street could have a totally different experience.

          • @cornflakes: My experience is from various parts of the area, not just isolated to my home. I have had telstra plans before and the mobile speed and coverage I have had with Woolworths is not even close.

    • +3

Woolworths Mobile plans don't come with a free Everyday Extra subscription

      • Thank you for the clarification.

      • Can we get it at a discounted price?

  • Does anyone know if you are subscribed to rewards everyday extra (already 10% off shop every month and $59/year fee) will you get an extra 10% off your shop per month with this mobile plan?

    • +1

Yes, it is specifically stated in the Everyday Extra FAQs that you get both:

I currently enjoy 10% off my shop at Woolworths as a Woolworths Insurance, Mobile or Credit Card customer. Will I get another 10% off each month from Everyday Extra?

(can't copy and paste the response for some reason)

    • Yes, can confirm this. :)

    • +1

Can confirm you get both. I currently have both. It resets at the beginning of the month, not based on your signup date. At checkout, each arrives as a separate popup, one at a time, asking if you want to use it.

  • +1

I've just used my second 10% discount for the month. Code for rewards extra is XFEB2023 for this month. Code for mobile/credit card/insurance is FEB2023.

    • How do we try that?

      • Codes are for online shopping. Otherwise I assume the discounts will pop up in-store at checkout.

        • +1

          Ah thanks.

    • What’s rewards extra?

      • I found out on this thread.

  • +4

Remember to do a click and collect or delivery first shopping and then a in store one hence you get the discount twice a month.

    • +1

That makes so much sense now when I get surprised at the discount popping up in store, after I had already used it online. Is there a time frame you need to shop in store by after an online order?

      • +2

No time frame, just within the month. If you shop in store first you’ll loose the online one.

  • +1

How many belong people now looking for other plans? Any recommendations?

    • Me. But this is 14 a month.. abit of hassle to change though… Hmm

      And Blelong 5G

  • +2

The issue is if you downgrade the plan you lose your data bank.

So if you want the cheaper 130 a year plan. After this one you lose all your data bank

  • Can I ask why you would cancel auto recharge ?

    • +7

So it doesn't auto recharge at normal price. You're a professional hence you don't pay normal prices.

      • I wouldn’t cancel it due to the multiple benefits such as data rollover and gifting. Not to mention the monthly 10% savings.

        • +1

More likely to get offered a discount for the next year ifs it's turned off though.

          • @WatchNerd: Ah interesting, do you need to call to get that? As it’s prepaid I didn’t think they’d offer a discount.

          • +2

@WatchNerd: Have you been offered something in the past?
I’ve only been with them for 4 mths
And I wasn’t planning on porting out and in to get a better deal due to the benefits that bob has mentioned previously

      • Sim swap? And back?

  • -6

Woolie mobile has gone rogue. Untrustworthy and not really cheap.

  • +5

Super happy customer of Woolworths mobile, I’ve got the whole family I’m bored now and we enjoy a 10% off at woolies once per month

    Telstra network 👍👍

    • Hi Rendo- since you have a few on ww mobile, do you get 10% off a shop for each service/SIM?

  • +1

Can you buy this and add another year to an existing Woolworths Mobile service or does it need to lapse and start again?

  • +3

My current plan is ending next month. Can I buy this now and port in 21 days?

  • This or boost

  • Would've jumped on this if not for the mate $1 p/m for 3 month deal. :/ Both use telstra wholesale network.

  • New customer only?

  • Do you have to purchase a new Woolworths SIM if you’re porting an existing number over (from Boost)?

    • Yes as it’s a different company. You can buy an eSIM and it ports over immediately.

  • Is this only a starter sim offer or can I extend my current service that expires in 3 weeks?

    • Ill answer my own question

      1. Using your Plan and Inclusion To use this Plan, you must buy and activate a Woolworths Mobile SIM Card
  • Says on the shop page that one gets access to discounted gift cards. Is that correct? If we get 3-4% off on gift card alongwith 10% on shop, that sounds a great deal.

  • Ordered two days ago but haven’t been tracked. Any staff from CR here?

  • Am I able to go into Woolworths to get a physical sim and activate sooner? Or do I need to wait for the sim to arrive and then activate.

    • Website says "online only offer". 2-3 days delivery.

      • says 2 - 3 days but took about 10 days to sth east melbs for me though.

    • You can get an eSIM card, once you set it up they are great.

  • so offer ends 21feb, does that mean i can still buy it on 21feb then activate within 30days which is by 20mar?

  • Careful moving to WoolWorths/Aldi Mobile if you use a Pixel 3/3a. You won't be able to send SMS unless you switch back to 3G (TW network don't yet support SMSoIP and the Pixel 3/3a aren't smart enough to failover to traditional SMS). Going through this at the moment with the kids' phones.

  • Hi guys.
Any idea if you get 10% off a shop for each plan

I became a rewards extra member and get 10% off a shop per month
Just bought a 365 day SIM for my on, should get a 10% off a shop for that too
I'm looking to change mine from boost ,(expiring soon) to WW mobile too.
Would I get a 3rd 10% off a shop if all are linked to same Everyday Rewards number?

    • You do not get the discount for each plan you purchase.

The 10% discount is though the Woolworths reward card. You have to link the card to your mobile plan. You only get one discount per reward plan irrespective of plans purchased.

Obvious work around is using another reward card.
You may also need a different credit card and email.
It's crazy but I've got 4 plans going but only successfully received one 10% discount.
I found it so difficult to track all the accounts (reward card account, mobile account, passwords and different emails plus credit cards) that I kept stuffing it up.

I'm pretty sure Woolworths made a mistake on one occasion but it was not rectifiable. Woolworths customer resolutions is impossible to navigate. Different departments for cash rewards and mobile and no local call service. Waited 45 minutes on hold on one occasion to be told they didn't know what the problem was. I gave up.

  • @dm02, so offer ends 21feb, does that mean i can still buy it on 21feb then activate within 30days which is by 20mar?

    • If you're talking about for the Cashrewards cashback, yeah you can buy it 21 Feb then activate within 30 days of purchase

  • +1

Do you get 10% off big W too or just Woolies ?

  • +1

    Dunnit. Tha, OP.

  • Should have not waited.. forgot yesterday :(
Hope this comes back soon :(

    • +1

Coles Mobile deal is still available which is good if you prefer Optus network & includes some international calls & sms.

      • Thanks, the 10% off shopping was is a good hook. Hope woolies rolls out once fast.

        • Woollies also offers 10% off groceries once a month (or twice, if you're smart about it).

          • @wisdomtooth: How, when?

            • @archieduh: Right here!

Get 10% off your grocery shop, $50 max once a month (After 45 days)

          • @wisdomtooth: I didn’t understand your message. How do you get it twice ? If you’re going to say you can do one instore and one online; let me know. Because this month that is not working for me.

            • @Lynx33: From what I read here, you're meant to do online first, then instore (but I haven't tried it myself).

  • +2
