24 Hour Antiperspirant - Still a Thing?

Is there still such thing as 24 hour antiperspirant? I am running low on my roll on one but it appears I can only find 48-72 hour antiperspirant now?

24 hour one works perfectly fine for me and has for years. I don’t want to apply the stronger ones for many reasons (including avoiding the higher % of aluminium).

Ideas?

Pretty sure it's just marketing and that using 24 hour antiperspirant every day will be just as bad for your health as using one advertised with a longer time window.

    • +++ agree 100%.

ALSO … "24 hour" ones also are terrible for ppl who have an active lifestyle (or work outdoors).
A major brand - so called "24 hour" (as per label) … for me only lasts about 4-6 hours during summer months.

  • Aren’t the Nivea roll on ones marked as up to 48 hr?

  • I thought it came down to the 48-72 hour ones have a much higher aluminium %

You could check the packaging and compare the amount of aluminium if that’s what you are worried about.

That’s the other thing. Majority of them now remove the % and simply list that it contains aluminium

      • Hm true. Idk then. Good luck

      • Yup. Years ago the gov removed the requirement to show it as they recategorised so it didn't have to be declared. Same type of thing as removing the milligrams on cigarette packets. Reducing information is never the best option.

The best anti perspirant is shaving your pits.

      How would that help?

Sweat won't pool in your armpit hair, it'll go directly down to your elbow

in some ways yes … in other ways NO !!
are you a person that often does this? If so, please elaborate.

Way back in another life - used to shave armpits … due exercise + heat.
While it did prevent sweating …

Even heaps of sorbolene cream didn't help with chaffing/rubbing - which == very sore/red armpits,
Yeah … does help in some ways … but not an overall cure (+ other issues as stated).

      • Yeah there’s a reason we have hair there. I had the same experience but uh… not with my armpits 😂

      • I use a body trimmer so no chafe. Stops or lessens sweat in most cases.

  • Person hygiene posts… so hot right now

avoiding the higher % of aluminium

    Do you shave your armpits?

  • whadda bout the never-ending story - what a let down

  • Why don't you just google brand options that are low or no aluminium?

  • Here you go, OP - you mustn't have been googling properly as there are 24 hr antiperspirants still available with possible reduced aluminium levels vs the 96hr varieties:

    Brut Original 24hr Antiperspirant 130g ** 1/2 price too! **

    Mitchum Antiperspirant Roll-On 24 Hour 50ml

    ARAMIS 24-HOUR ANTIPERSPIRANT SPRAY

  • Just sweat.

      ikr

why stifle your body's natural mechanisms. Blocking outlets not a good idea.

Sweat is your body trying to cool itself down. Just let it do its thing.
