Gasmate 190l 2 Door Outdoor Fridge $799 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Outdoors Domain

130

Normally $1499
I'm told they're trying to clear them out as they are 865mm wide and it looks strange in their 900mm pre cut BBQ spacings.
Suitable for outdoor use.
They also have the 3 door version for $999 and had a few other triple glazed two door fridge for $1100.

I would have thought a bit of clearance around the edges would be good for ventilation & allowing clean air into the compressor, as the bottom is flush with the floor.

As long as it has a bit of room out the back it's all it needed as it vents through the front

Good to know. I prefer the fitted look too.

From manufacturer manual, Positioning: Ensure the sides and top have at least 50mm clearance and the rear at least 100mm clearance to ensure adequate ventilation.
Never cover the bottom front grill as this is required for ventilation.

865mm wide for 900mm cabinet is adequate fit..

    • Totally agree, 17mm side clearance is adequate fit, any less clearance you would be asking for trouble.

  • Chuck a couple of double taps on top and you've got a killer keg fridge.

  • If you enjoy big power bills, buy an outside fridge! There's a very good reason fridges are usually inside a house

    • Fridges are well insulated from externals but dissipate heat into the room. So if you live in a hot area (most of AU), a fridge inside the house, is only increasing your cooling bill.

edit: btw i agree with first half of your sentence.

    • It's 2.3kwh per 24 hours. Call it 50 cents a day, over a year is $180. If you have solar, call it maybe half of that? So really not too bad if you'd like an entertaining area and free up inside fridge space.

      • 2.3kwh will be when the fridge in a lab at 20degC..it'll use a lot more power to keep a beer at 4deg when it's 40 outside.

        • Let's call it 4/5ths of (profanity) all or about an hour's work per year for me so this is a great deal
