Hi OP> Looking at the returns policy. Just confirming that if I need to exchange sizes then I'd be reasonable in paying for the return shipping at my own cost for the item that doesn't fit but you'd send the requested different size for 'free'??

      Yes correct

If you need to exchange the size, you pay the return shipping to send back the item to us and we send you the exchange pair for free.

What part of "yes" did you not understand?

        • Re-read the question and the initial response. OPs response answers everything.

  • how does it compare to Moab 2?

    • Uglier.

  • Hi OP I tried the filter and couldn't see. Do any of the Merrell Moab shoes have 2E sizing?

Merrell soles, not Vibram like on their better models. Don't expect them to last all that long…

    • I would expect that if you put these into any real use they won't last long at all.

Its basically a big cloth sock with some soft plastic highlights, not much of a structure to keep it together.

Merrells quality isnt the best and this one looks dodgy at best.

    • What's this based on?

      • +3

Based on my personal experience of owning countless Merrells (including 6 pair at the moment, plus 2 in more in unopened boxes - although 2 of those pair are to the point where I only wear them in around the house or keep them in the car as spares due to their condition).

I do a lot of hiking (30-50 km a week most weeks). I actually mainly wear the cheaper Merrell's (with their own soles, not the Virbams) as they are quiet comfortable and relatively cheap, but they don't last all that well, and I would never buy the cheaper models for more extreme hiking. eg, anything where I wanted either a mid-boot like these, or something 'waterproof' like these.

I also have a pair Moab Waterproof Mids with the Vibram soles, and they are a much better shoe.

Not saying they won't be OK, just be aware that there are multiple levels of quality of Merrel's before you buy…

        • What are cheaper Merrell soles, are these merrell "quantumgrip" soles crap? And are Vibram more or less all the same? e.g. vibram on different brand shoes.
