How many days after I sign up?

    • -8

Hey Rakibul, If Eligible, Recipients will receive a $100 Woolworths Store Bonus eGift Card by email up to 90-120 days after you have successfully activated your service.

      • +13

That is crazy long. Why in the world would you require at least 3 months to do that in today's digital age? This is 2023 not 1993.

        • +20

Because by then hopefully you've forgotten you were supposed to receive one

        • +6

And they usually forget to send it after four months.. Got such a deal with Finder for energy account switch.. wait was 3 months.. I got nothing.. I had to call them multiple times and spend hours to finally get it.. Ultimately if you count your hours you put on the phone, you get nothing. $25/hr X4 = $100. They make you feel like a begger. That was my first and the last such deal i subscribed to.

          • +2

@vikaskamboj: I had the EXACT same thing happen when I switched to Origin Energy and Internet at the same time. I was meant to get a 2x $100 credits applied over a 6 month period. Got the bumsteer from EVERYONE trying to pin the blame on the other as Energy pushed me to Internet and Internet pushed me to Energy.

With all the screwing around, I somehow ended up with a $300 credit by mistake, but given the numerous hours that I wasted, I can't complain about the extra hundy.

        • Mortgage brokers force you to stay for two years otherwise you pay their comissions.🤔

          • @sam cho: AFAIK, illegal for a mortgage broker to clawback since 1/1/21

    "eligible to receive" ?

  • +7

This is becoming more like spam than a deal

    Oh wait

Note: ***Once you have signed up, you will receive a verification call from Econnex comparison.

Now you also get spammed on your phone number too

    • C'mon now thats the price for it. You can't have a $100 gift card just like that. :)

The question is … would you even get it though?

    • -2

Hey easternculture, As you can see from our previous deals, we don't call the customers, we only contact them for missing information or to confirm details.

As an aside, why on earth does your privacy policy start with the following? I’m not sure how relevant this statement is in a privacy policy…?

The Internet is an amazing tool. It has the power to change the way we live, and we’re starting to see that potential today. With only a few mouse-clicks, you can follow the news, look up facts, buy goods and services, and communicate with others from around the world.

          Lol

Sounds like they have a 7 year old typing privacy policies

        • +1

I'd be highly concerned that an internet provider is only just

          "starting to see the potential"

power of the internet today 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

        • why on earth does your privacy policy…

I think it's from a Wordpress theme, it's common if you search for that exact text.

  • Does it work with delayed start dates? Want to finish up my spintel deal

    • It says service must me activated by 15 of March.
      So, may be not

    • Hey moleski, yes you can delay your start date, your broadband service must be activated by 15th March 2023 to be eligible for this offer.

Be prepared to chase up the gift card when it doesn’t come as promised.

    • :) fun!

    • That’s true. Signed up via connex for tangerine nbn. Nothing came for a supposedly $75 gift card.

      • Hi grizz_li, can you please confirm from which link you signed up and please share your reference number, our team will look into the issue ASAP.

    • I got one this week from them, right on time 92 days from signup.

  • Call Superloop and you'll be in a super-loop of recorded messaging, waiting and never getting a human. … and that's to enquire. A has been IMO

  • +2

Advise to stay away. I signed up through econnex for similar broadband & gift card offer during last year June sometimes. After some posts and calls I got email on 30 Dec 22, that I'll get $100 woolies gift card in next 30 days. Still nothing as of today.

    • Jayze, Kindly share your reference number in order to track your application.

Have already done that couple of times in recent past…you guys should have already resolved if you really intended.

PM me your email, happy to forward you email I received on 30 Dec 22

        • Jayze, Kindly forward it to [email protected]

          • @Manyo: Just forwarded.

            • @Jayze: Kindly Dm us your sender Id or phone number in order to track the email.

    • +1

Same with me too. Wasted my time on phone calls then first claimed no such promotion existed then claimed they never received the notification of new customer from the ISP. Stay away would be my recommendation.

  • I signed up for the $50 deal last time this went around with exetel instead - never came in the mail or anything. I just put a calendar notification in of the date I was allowed to start chasing (about 2 months in) and then sent off an email requesting it be sent to me electronically rather than by mail. Within a few days I received a random email from Woolworth with an e-gift card - although no correspondence from econnex. Take from that what you will!

  • They are bad for existing customers. I left them after six months when they increased the price significantly and refused to negotiate a discount.

    • Isn't that just the intro rate pretty much all providers do?

      • No, many providers have discount for existing customers. They are just very bad in terms of this. It is the reason that they can not keep their customers.

  • +3

IMHO, I would not recommend any one to use econnex.
    Here's my recent experience:
I signed to an energy service on 4th Oct, emailed them the update on gift card on 26th Dec. I was told it will be 90days from when the providers tells them it's connected. No dates were advised when i that 90 days. Reached them again last week, they sent me a gift card expiring in 2 months, says it was issued on 18th Jan, and the email must have gone to spam. Upon checking the hell out of my whole email/spam box, it's literary not there. Told them about not sending any email, they responded it was sent and they can't do much.

  • Don't don't do it you will be regret .

  • How do you define a new customer? I was a customer of Superloop until April 2022. Do I qualify?

    • +1

BzBee, as per the terms and conditions, Customers who have signed up through Econnex Comparison during the last 6 months, will not be eligible for this offer.

As your last signup was in April 2022, your do qualify to sign-up to this deal.

      • Connected within 4 hours! Looking forward to receiving the gift card within 120 days :).

  • +2

I signed up to More via Econnex during last year's deal and received the gift cards after two and a half months. Leaving some positive feedback as I didn't have any issues with Econnex or More.

  • Hi rep could you check for my reference number 1676310759 for the electricity through Econnex when I will receive the gift card

    • Hey Kt007, your application has been successfully submitted, and you will receive your gift card in April 2023.

      • Thanks rep.

  • +2

Took over the 120 days to get mine last deal, and I had to follow up to get it – and the gift cards were only valid for a short time.

They will do everything they can for you to not get any value.

  • +1

I've taken few of the econnex deals and they did send the giftcards after 120 days.

Be aware that superloop can be painful when you need to call the tech support though.
You'll need to hold for at least 15 mins, and only then they ask if you want to be called back.
The chat is useless, they usually ask you to call anyway.

  • I signed up on the 22/11, activated my service with Exetel on 30/12 and received my gift card 18/2 just FWIW. Takes a bit longer than I'd like, but otherwise no complaints; YMMV.

  • +2

Superloop nowhere near as good as they once used to be.

  • +1

Gift card wont come as promised and will throw every excuse under the sun at you not to get it. Currently going through the process, emails conveniently stop getting responded to so look forward to calling them (and yes has been more than 90 days). 1/10 would not sign up with them again.

    • solidsteak, Kindly share your reference number in order to track your application.

      • lol, dont think @solidsteak made an application yet

  • +1

"by email up to 90-120 days after"

There is no excuse in there world for it to take up to 120 days, this is a scam. I'm guessing they hope you either forget about the gift card or by the time 120 days comes around you cant be bothered to contact them about it.

  • "An error occurred on client"
Unable to do anything. What a useless website. Why bother!

    • Me too.

      Says it all.

      RUN away

  • I used econnex last August and got two $50 Woolies e-gift cards within the time frame.

  • +1

Agree with those commenting they didn't get the gift card. I signed up, was promised the gift card - 6 months came and went, nada! I'm too busy to chase these kinds of things up, if they were true to their promise it should be automatically sent. But they didn't say in the fine print - "you gotta hassle us to get your gift card!" A lot to be said about a company who stoops this low just to get customers. For anyone who gets sucked in, don't expect to get the gift card - you won't be disappointed.

  • +1

Neg because of the horrible experiences that fellow OzB members have had. Unexplainable reasons.

  • Won't let me sign up, gets to the review my order and it's stuck

  • I ordered in November (reference# 1669175650) and switched on 23 Nov (using a similar deal at the time). Waited until last week but no voucher was sent.
I contacted support and got an automated email saying request received (JIRA ticket) and another a few days later saying ticket closed, issue resolved (another JIRA automated email) but haven't received the voucher. It's been over 90 days.
If the vouchers are not being sent automatically at all and despite requests/follow ups then how are they still allowed to post here?

    • Hey BargainZo, we cross-checked your reference number and your application was tagged under the incorrect link, that was the reason you did not receive the gift card, now that issue has been sorted and you will receive your gift card in 1st week of march 23.

      • thanks but I will believe it when it appears in 1 month. It just feels like deflection…why do you need another month to issue a voucher that should have been issued already within the stipulated 3 months time?

  • Hello @Manyo
Still haven't heard anything about the voucher from a previous deal..
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/729526

    • Hey Alterego, kindly share your reference number in order to track your application.

    • So after providing a reference number this is the reply I get…
"Hey mate, we tracked your application, unfortunately, your sale did not come through the link provided in the campaign, which makes you ineligible for the offer."
I have the email from econnex with a reference number confirming my connection… so that reply doesn't even make sense!

      Anyone else in similar situation?
