Misleading title. Should say the price, not the discount amount.

$45 for 900 grams of protein what a joke.

Include the price in the title.

lol the the title had me

  • This brand makes shit protein powders, they are "dirty". And for this price it is a 100% no go.

    • Are their protein bars just as bad? I was looking to try some. Alternatives?

      • Well, actually I purchase their high protein bars regularly at 50% off. Just have them as snacks or during gym, don't expect them to be whey protein bars though.

        • Yep I have a friend that said to watch for the half price from Coles, and said they are great so I might try some.

    • Whats dirty about it? I did find a piece of rubber in the container once but emailed them and they sent me a new which was pretty sweet as it was only 1/4 left!

      • The word ” multi-source protein" gives it away. It could be a mix of vegan protein + whey, or any other cheap protein source.
If you just need some extra protein, there are much cheaper alternatives that work just as good. If you are looking to build muscle then this is a 100% no go brand.

        • what about their 100% Whey:
          https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/91338/musashi-100-wh…

Musashi 100% Whey Protein Blend (92%) [Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Emulsifiers (Soy Lecithin, Sunflower Lecithin)], Cocoa Powder, Flavour, Vegetable Gum (Guar Gum), Enzyme (Papain), Sweetener (Sucralose).

          Still junk?
Only reason I buy this was because it lists all the Amino Acid contents and amounts where as a lot of the super expensive brands dont even mention them

@noslappers: For the price is ok to get if you are in a hurry to get some powder. Though, personally, I won't touch anything that mixes WPC and WPI together and try to market it as "premium'ish" powder like saying" hey, at least we contain WPI". but how much %?

If you can wait, go for Amino Z, especially when they have huge bundle discounts. They taste great IMO, don't seems to add extra BCAA to boost their protein %. Play around with their website, use the subscription service for 25% off, then cancel it after you received the order.

Bulknutrient is a good choice for WPC, the more you get at one go the cheaper it goes. They are clean and simple.

Myprotein is a good choice when it is on 50% (or more), there's cashback reward now that ends at 12am, and the site also has 50% discount on many WPI products. Though, I would strongly recommend the 2 brands above unless Myprotein products is way cheaper like today. BTW, Myprotein products has a long history of doing discount of short expiry products, it is hated by Ozbargainers, so another thing to beware of. (and only their WPI products and Casein, nothing else).

        • So what to buy then?

@ky1975: Look for the reply above, mate.

            • @kenjai: Any recommendation on plant based protein?

              • @ky1975: Haven't done any research on those, sorry.

              • @ky1975: Pea / rice blends are a great vegan alternative to whey protein. The combination puts the amino acid profile on par with whey, and it tends to cause less digestive issues for people in my experience. Bulk nutrients has a pea/rice blend in a few flavors or natural (unflavored).

  • Thanks for sharing, OP. Don't take the negs to heart, though. It isn't you, it's the deal.

    • OP must be contemplating over his protein buy
