Bought 3 of these the other week.. never had a desk/computer chair but these are great value for money and takes me 10 minutes to assemble each with a impact drill… has hex key inside.. using hex key does a better job at tightening imo.
Highly Recommend for anyone on a budget
    Great value for money

Can feel the top edge rounded hard plastic of the back of the chair if you lean back alott, but no biggy. Can just put some fabric over it or something. Easy fix. For $50 can't complain. Got one for my mum and dad and they love it.

    • A great upgrade if your currently using a normal fixed chair

    Should been called soho instead

If these are same as a year or two ago, they are great, bought 2, both still going strong with regular use, much better than the similar price officeworks chairs which I've killed a few

  • +3

Now where's the Bunnings office chair that they'll price match..

  • +3

These are great for the price. I ended up removing the arms and felt it was a lot more comfy.

    • How did you remove the arms? I just bought it, the arms are required hold the back in place

Must be last years model. This one seems slightly different.

        • Thanks!

They meant their arms, with a chainsaw.

Can anyone confirm what type of packaging these come in? Might need to walk home with it about 15 minutes…

    • +15

you can just throw away the packaging and sit in it and propel yourself home with your feet

      • Haha excellent idea

    • +2

I just bought one. Comes in a rectangular box. I carried it about 200 metres to the car without any problems. I don't know about a 15 minute walk though - possible but you'd probably have to stop a few times

      • Thanks I’m also having to walk home with this but taking a 5min train too. Wish I could bring my trolley with me but that would be weird lol

    • Lol walk the Aldi trolly home

Almost as good as Herman Miller - devout Aldi shopper

  • The wheels dont turn - bought these last year

    • how comfortable is the cushion?

      • Mine's now wafer thin, hurts my buttocks wfh and I'm after a replacement chair. Think I've had this for at least 4yrs though.

        • why not just buy some memory foam chair cushion ?

any new chair purchase will eventually have same issue unless they use memory foam for the seat

    • You can replace these with roller blade wheels (even the ones with LED's) they are much better than normal wheels

      One for each cheek

    • LOL. I know 70%+ of Aussies are overweight, but if it's by that much than the real pandemic ain't covid, it's food! Jokes aside, 120kg is really no joke. I limp around with 30kg on a weight belt between sets and if I had to walk around with that 24/7, my back would be crippled and I would still be well under 120kg! I'm tall too.. This is insane to me that people get this heavy. It's one way to make your legs stronger I guess 😂

I got it, didn’t like the mesh or cloth material for my bum. Sucks as is cheap and hard to say no to it.

    • +1

      I always prefer 3 ply though…

  • Can anyone confirm whether the arm rests are fixed on these? Or are they removable?

  • Just grabbed one from Reservoir and they had a few more out back

  • We have a few that look like these at work. Horrible! So bad for your lower back. Not enough support for the back over a period of time. Even with 20 minutes breaks every two hours

Sorry sir, this is ozbargain. We drop $2k on a GPU for our gaming rigs but want to save money on something we sit on for 8 hours a day.

      • Welcome to buy a steelcase leap V2 for $2500 or so…or like $650 with a used armless one

…price of a really good chair is ridiculous

  • Got this recently and I think it's fantastic value for $50. Seat is very well padded and I have no issue with the mesh back (though I give it 1-2 years before it sags).

  • Decided to get one of these based on the reviews above, found a couple in the discounted section for $35 each.
