I tried 7miles coffee. Not bad but Danes is more for the flavour I'd say. Have you ever tried Danes?

Quality comes with a price tag unfortunately. There are cheaper beans out there.

nope! not sockpuppeting. I used to work there back in 2012. Now I'm a loyal customer.
I went fairly big on their last special a little while before christmas. Got 1xkg of black velvet blend and 1xkg of the Ascension blend. The black velvet was okay (felt overpriced) but the Acension bag had this instant 'over ripe!' Scent and taste. Like a natural/anaerobic process that had been left too long. Was actually bizarre.
Will try them again sometime but had never experienced that before.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your experience. Very surprised to hear that you didn't enjoy Ascension. They won a gold medal from AICA with ascension blend last year.
For soneone quit in 2012, you really know they won the award lol…..you should go back to work for them again if you like their coffee since you advertise it here ….or you are already working for them…. lol
I'm a fan. Enjoying their coffee almost every morning in Brookvale Danes Drive-In. I don't need to work with them as I have another job and I love what I do. I also love Wood and Co (Melbourne roaster), Commonfolk (mornington peninsula), Clark Street roasters and many more.

I normally get the Airjo 34 bucks or so for 1kg deal am I really going to taste the difference… I will definitely feel and see the price difference
The difference is obvious to me, but taste is subjective, you will never know unless you try.
Cool beans I bought some for an extra 10 bucks more a bag I’ll give it a swing.
I reckon 35-40 is the sweet spot for 1kg it would need to be pretty amazing coffee for 50 a kg but that’s just me and the way I drink coffee.
Will return to review. 1-2 coffee (F/W) a day drinker on a breville 920…
