BLACKFRIDAY33

Hi.
Longtime lurker. First time poster.

Wife wanted me to get a memory foam baby mat, and realised they were on sale and then they sent us a 33% off code BLACKFRIDAY33 which wasn't listed (they are also providing a 28% off code: SPRINGSALE or WINTER, and a 27% off code: NEP2023 or NEP2022). Unfortunately the codes don't stack, but it looks like the codes work site wide. Not sure when it's ending.

Overview of pricing:

Size RRP listed @30% off
1.0x1.5 $199 $189 $126.63
1.5x2.0 $329 $279 $186.93
2.0x3.0 $399 $349 $233.83
2.0x4.0 $469 $399 $267.33
2.0x2.0 $369 $329 $220.43
2.0 round $369 $329 $220.43

I own the 2x2 and it's pretty good, no more tears when the baby falls over, also was pretty comfortable when I slept on it the other night

I own two of these mats and they’re fab. Replaced the living room rug with them too for the little ones. FYI Neptune Blanket have 33% off codes frequently - like no joke every 2 weeks since I first bought their mat last month. I wouldn’t trust their RRP or listed price and would only buy at “33%” or less.

  • Just got a huge one for the living room, love it.
Me and my kiddo lay on it, worthy purchase.

    • Was thinking of replacing my baby mat, how easy to clean this?

      • I’ve yet to have a decent spill but so far so good.

  • does this have a smell?

These are really good as I own 2 of them. I wish they came in 4x3m configuration as well.

  • Can you wash these mats in a washing machine?

    • Not sure and I am afraid my washing machine will not be able to fit this both size wise as well as weight wise once soaked as these are memory foams.

  • Aren't dwingular mats cheaper

    • Was just about to ask has anyone been able to compare? We have a Dwingler mat and it's awesome. I know they're different products and thicknesses, but my question is which one would the Dwingler and Neptune owners prefer?

Can you jiu-jitsu roll with someone on these mats?

    • @clubhonda when I get mine I'll let you know

    • come round and find out brah

  • Seems pretty good especially since it is 3cm thick. Lots of mats are barely 1cm.

  • Would love a 3x4m to replace our rug at the same time.

  • Anyone with first hand experience know if there is much difference between the 'LUX Edition' and the normal mellow mat?

  • How do these fare with pet hair? Been considering getting one for our little one but the only thing that makes us hesitant is not knowing whether this is a pet hair magnet or not.

  • How are these for water spillages? Do they bead on the top or soak in?

these mats are a piece of sh#t! wish i still had photos of how mine looked after a few weeks. not sure what it is, but every tiny speck of dust and dirt stick to it so ours looked trashed very quickly. impossible to clean. the edges of the mat are that cheap toy style material. as you can tell, not a fan and their customer service was very poor. false advertising to say the least as it is not easy to clean or resistant to stains.

    • Good to hear first hand experience.
Was this accelerated wear due from anything in particular e.g shoes etc ?

    • Thanks we will pass

I have couple of them and have almost opposite experience. The little one loves it and I am very happy to see how many times this has helped in avoiding tears when jumping around. I had couple of water spills and the water stayed like beads and you then use tissue to absorb. Have dealt with customer services for a warranty issue and they immediately shipped a replacement without asking many questions ! Love it but it’s just my experience!

Hi @yeeha87 can you share photos? I've read mixed reviews but really needed something for my bub? Would like to use the 30 days warranty thingy in case it's as you described

  • Anyone can compare these to the ones from babymat.com? We have the latter (TPU foam) and want more but they are always out of stock

    Neptune Blanket advised:

Unfortunately, the Mellow Mats can NOT go in the washing machine, so we would definitely recommend spot and steam cleaning our Mellow Mats. Personally, I find making a paste with some napisan and then scrubbing any affected area to work best, for any lingers smell I would definitely recommend wiping the affected area down with a small amount of vinegar or sprinkling some bicarb soda on the area, letting this sit for an hour or two then vacuuming this up, both of these have worked really well.

Otherwise, I would recommend having the Mellow Mat professionally Steam Cleaned if you can not remove the smell or stain with a spot clean/hose off.

  • These mats are great, but I suspect this 33% off is just the normal 'discount'.

  • Had a minor issue with mine, their customer service has been great.
