I found myself having to deliberately move time forward on this one by wiggling my hands around until things were at an optimal state to proceed. It made things feel a little awkwardly paced in a game about precision movements and timing.

    • +3

I’ll also add For some reason I remember the desktop version being way more accurate with my OG oculus and 3 cam setup. There were quite a few times where segments especially with thrown items or very limited bullet segments should have connected but still ended up missing.

This is a great price for native quest version though and I’d recommend it for $15.

So are you saying that you didn't have a superhot time.

    • +3

I found just shifting from left to right foot was enough movement for the headset to register movement to progress time and looked less silly.

Or it pretended I was in the matrix and did slow motion kung Fu moves, added my own sound effects to seem more badass.

+1 for fact and awesome game

Brings back memories of first night of VR (3hrs later on Superhot at 1am) : "Ok so, enemy comes through there … .. grab shotgun … steady aim by leaning on short wall " **** falls on face as there is no wall…… wife yells at me.

Well I hope you took the high ground by laying the blame on the wall.

Thank you! Just got my Meta Quest 2 delivered yesterday and I bought a few games and was about to buy this one earlier today. Good thing I waited!

Welcome to the club champ make sure you download BigScreen (free) and check that out as well. You can watch movies, sports and chat with people from all around the globe as well as stream Disney+, Prime Video and YouTube etc. Probably one of the best apps on there.

As for games and apps there are now referrals you can use to get 25% off and they have regular limited time offers as well like this one which you can check via the Meta Quest app. Also a decent headstrap is probably a must if you want to get the best out of it. It's definitely a great piece of kit for the money.

Thanks mate! Do you have any recommendations for games? I’ve bought a few of the main sports ones, but not sure what else is worth buying.

Walkabout Mini Golf and Pistol Whip are both essential I reckon

I've found walking dead saints and sinners to be fun, interesting traversal and a lot of weapon crafting/salvaging. Your weapons break so you're always having to keep eye out for items to use in a pinch, frypan is a very satisfying weapon to use.

Sunshine Arizona is fun to play with a friend, it's good solo as well.

I'm waiting for tentacular to go on special as that looks good too.

I love ragnarock, as well as the Darth Vader Immortal episodes (ep3 is best) if you're into starwars

        • +1

Beat Saber. And then mod it so you can download thousands of free songs and maps.

No worries chief. I guess it depends on what you're into for the most part but I'll list a few of my top recommendations in different categories.

          Sports:
iB Cricket (only if you're into cricket)
          Walkabout Mini Golf
          Eleven Table Tennis
          Golf+
          Thrill of The Fight

          Action/Adventure:
          Moss 1 and 2
          Vader Immortal 1, 2 and 3
          Iron Man

          Rhythm:
          Beat Saber
          Pistol Whip
          Synth Riders

          Humor/Fun:
          Trover Saves The Universe
          Accounting+
          Among us (online multiplayer)

          Relaxing:
          BigScreen (movies, sports, chatting etc)
          Real VR Fishing
          Wander

          Creative:
          Tribe XR DJ
          Vermillion
          SculptrVR

          Puzzles:
          Red Matter 1 and 2
          The Room
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (requires 2+ players)

          Shooters (stationary):
          Drop Dead
          Zombieland
          Superhot

I prefer shooters where you're somewhat stationary because moving around all the time you can get a bit of motion sickness. If you are however fine with that then these are great as well.

          Shooters (movement):
          Resident Evil
          Walking Dead 1 and 2
          Population One

          Hope that helps! 🍻

    Fantastic game!
I played the original on Xbox.
Really enjoyed it and really satisfying when you master a segment with perfect timing.

Recently got it on my quest 2 and is a blast.
I found it helped me be more mindful of my movement within the vr space, so I'm finding my accuracy in other games has improved also

Thanks. This also works on the Quest 1 for anyone interested.

I like playing in the back yard at night. I have a nice large & flat lawn I keep well-preened. It makes superhot so much fun because I can literally run around & jump / duck etc and not worry about crashing into a wall etc, or having the boundary pop up.
