  • Anyone help me in understanding benefit of buying a dual monitor mount vs buying 2 separate single monitor mounts? Price difference ends up only being $5

    • +10

Slightly less real estate on desk…
BUT way less flexibility in placement especially if you have your desk against a wall. I learned that the hard way. I would buy two singles with the price difference being $5 as you described.

      • That's what I've always thought about the lack of flexibility, thanks for confirming for me!

      • +6

Same. Hard way. Regretted till now.
        Just buy 2x singles everyone

        • +1 for this opinion. If anyone wants a dual in Melb I think I'll be getting rid of it and replacing with two singles

      • +1

All true unless in one use case. If you consider place the monitors one on top and down horizontally, the normal stand might not be high enough for the top one. In this case, dual monitor mount might be better.

    • +3

I guess it makes a neater look.
And if you want more than 2 monitors this would be better for a bank of 4 screens I suppose.

    • +1

If you wanted to stack vertically you need this one. The pole is longer on the H160 than the H80.

    • How about a 3 monitor setup where you have them side by side, is it better to still get 3 separate single monitor mounts or one of tri-monitor mounts?

      • If you don’t move the monitors around it’s fine to use multiple monitor mounts. I personally use a dual monitor mount and a single mount because of the height of the monitor. However, 3 mounts won’t put as much pressure on the single mount spot. It depends on your setup and limitations.

      • +1

I use a dual and a single. Allows me to place the third screen exactly where I want to get the right angle and height I want on it.

Where did you find the $5 price difference?

  • Does it support height adjustment and can it mount two 32inch side by side ?

    • +2

yes, for 2x32" and theres clamps you set the height and then still adjust with arm

Excellent price..In my experience though for home usage once you set the two monitors how you want it, you rarely fiddle with it.. here is a cheaper alternative, not gas driven arms.. just a simple set up..cost me 30.96 delivered with ebayplus.. its the brand that Bunnings stocks.. if anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative that is..this one that OP posted looks great for the price. ..anyways if anyone wants an alternative https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/352495199036

I have bought 2 of the one monitor variant of this model (for 2 different desks). I haven’t had any issues with the monitor arm and it makes for very clean, minimalistic look (the pole is on either side of the monitor, not in the middle for the one monitor variant). Its very flexible and sturdy, even with my ultra-wide.

If you are looking to buy the 2 monitor variant, please take note that it only just fits 2 25 inch monitors on top of one another according to one of the reviews (not the 27 inch advertised). Larger monitors will fit side by side with no issues, I think it even could just about do 2 34 inch ultrawide monitors. Another thing, the price has been this low for almost a month so looks like its staying this low for a while.

I have this holding my 34" MSI monitor and 27" dell with no issues at all

  • What about this one for $94

Can someone tell me why this one cost more? It's it better quality?
