Posted on the Model Y Australia facebook group. The coupon code gives a 16% discount on Tesla accessories and drops the shipping price for large items from the standard US$85 to US$25 making this the best deal available for a number of things.

Not going to be a deal for everyone but hopefully it still helps some Tesla owners interested in a power frunk or any other accessories. Next cheapest deal for a power frunk is Satonic’s aliexpress store for US$406 or Hansshow for US$424 delivered which is US$63 more expensive and it’s also worth noting that the hardware Satonic offers looks like a newer, more compact and robust design.

Satonic also include a free frunk LED which is worth anywhere from $30-$50 on its own.

  Good price thanks. Do you know the track record of Satonic frunk openers? I heard the Hansshow had quite a few problem after a time, may be more earlier versions.

    Can’t comment on the track record unfortunately but can say that the control box and connectors on the satonic are redesigned to be slimmer and more watertight than hansshows. The tensioner also comes preconfigured which makes the install dramatically easier.

  This will increase the weight and use more power ina long run. What is the point? Who would us the frunk that often? The open & close functionality is good enough.
  I often wonder about why those cars with roof case installed. How often it gets used? It'll affect the performance and increase fuel consumption. If you need more space, why not buy a bigger car?

    The whole kit is <5kg. Nobody uses the frunk often for the reason that you have to push down on it to close it which can damage the bonnet and often causes damage to the emblem. The feedback most have after installing these is that they get much more use out of the front compartment.

      The stuff can fit in frunk can easily fit in the car anywhere.

        The frunk is ideal for a lot of things because it’s separate from the cabin and is waterproof. Anything that leaks, has smells, rattles or has the potential to roll is best placed in the frunk. Still, you can hate on the deal all you want - like I said, not for everyone.

    It weights about 3kg if similar to Hansshow one - not going to use more power or affect performance.

    Sometimes frunk useful instead of boot for putting shopping in a smaller area so it doesn't go flying with the torque the Tesla produces.

    It’s about a 2 hour job and will be frustrating without the right tools. I’ve installed a couple of these and I’d say it’s about a 6.5/10. The hard part is the fiddling getting the old struts out and the new struts in. Once the struts are done it’s a very easy install.

        No the satonic is fixed height and preconfigured so you don’t have to make any adjustments to the latch tensioner. No buttons on the control box ensures waterproofing and the simplified tensioning system makes the install dramatically less complex. If you watch the hansshow youtube videos some people spend hours just on working out the correct tension it’s wild.
