I'm tired of those cheap generic MFI Lightning cables posted on ozbargain failing after a few months, so thought I'd go for a proper branded one this time around. Seems like a decent deal for Belkin and thought I'd share a few deals I came across.

(EXPIRED) Belkin braided Lightning Cable (black) - $14.97

  • I have a Comsol MFI brand from OfficeWorks that’s been going for 2 years now, used daily .. was about $15.
    Belkin seems a good price.

    • I've had good experience with Belkin in the past, but nice to know Comsol seems to be a quality alternative.

      • I needed a cable quick and just dropped into Officeworks. It’s been a good cable but I think if I saw Belkin I’d would have bought that only because I had heard of Belkin before as a brand.

  • The usb a ones only charge at 12w. I only buy usb c Lightning cables now.

    • Someday I'll ante up and invest in proper USB-C PD chargers. For now I'm still riding the USB-A wave 🌊

Lightning is likely dead going forward and all vendors are trying to dump them haha. (But surely will still be alive and well on all current devices, which is surely over billion at this point)

  • If you only need the cable USB A to C and aiming for 2m or longer if they exist, and you don't need lightening or fast charge, can you buy either and work normally like a USB charge data cable?

For $24 this might be a better option for car charging if you don't need the lightning cable - the USB-C port can fast-charge at 25W, and still has the dual charging option:
