  I have the green dial, black bezel one and also have the red/red one. I think it's a great watch at this price point; the case is well finished, bezel has a satisfying click and rotation is smooth with good resistance, dial is clean, and lume is great. It;s also solar which I like because it's grab and go. But the rubber strap is garbage - liek old Seiko rubber - stiff and ugIy. I swpped them out as soon as I received them

    It seems that the BN019x line is (almost) the same base watch but with the metal bracelet as standard.

      I think the only similarities are the movement and both being proper divers

        I reckon the metal bracelet makes it less of a diver and more of a dress watch.
        (caveat: I own the BN0194-57E and regularly get compliments on it. And I'm not a diver)

        Now if they had a gold-accented Fugu I'd be all over it.

    Stiffer usually will last longer no? At least I believe Resin>Rubber>Silicone. Silicone starts falling apart the quickest.

    At least on my past G-shocks they always had the resin strap, which is hard but never failed on me. My most recent G-shock however came with a slightly softer kind of band, almost rubber like but stiffer I think. Not sure how long it will last in the long term, sure it's more comfortable but I never minded the hard resin straps.

    Agreed, I've got the original all black model & love it. I wear it a lot because it's solar quartz & always ready to go. Not sure why others don't like the rubber strap, it feels like good quality to me.

  Has promaster range often not had saphire?
  Almost bought it but realised it's only mineral glass. I often knock my current promaster on reef when getting Crays and it hasn't scratched the glass but the bezel is on its way out lol
