Just another decent deal for PS5 storage which includes a heat sink installed. A little more dearer than the 2tb 980 pro deal that is going at this moment but it's a good alternative if it have sold out.

980 pro 2tb ($276.01 delivered at this time of post) - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/759784

  • Not sure if the WD BLACK SN770 is better or worse, but it's under $200 at the moment @ Amazon US via AU

    • +3

the most similar drive from WD to this is the 850x, the 770 has no dram so performs worse than this

    • +2

The WD SN770 will still work for the PS5 however its sequential read speed is below Sony's recommended 5,500MBps. You'll need to install your own heat sink as well.

      • +1

The sustained write speed is a weak aspect of SN770.

  • This or Seagate FireCuda for ps5?

    • +1

Buy both, then you have an excuse to buy another PS5.

If same price and the FireCuda 530 is the heatsink included version, get the 530. They both use Phison E18 controller.

    • +2

Both will do fine for ps5, just get whatever is the cheapest at the time of purchase.

      • Gotcha :) thank you

  • Is CORSAIR MP600 PRO good for PS5? Also good price https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09Q2NCFS7/ref=ox_sc_sa…

    • It'll work with the PS5. It's more expensive than the ones I've listed.

      • It was 271.83 when I posted
