Note very similar deal at JB right now.
Samsung website has them currently at $1599.

Also comes with a bonus offer of a Bezel frame for the TV valued at $129.

Also note if you have already purchased this TV from Harvey Norman in the last 7 days before this deal, you can get the 7 day price match by calling the store directly and have them refund the difference. Worked for me.

Bonus Bezel Terms and Conditions (PDF) Bonus item must be added to the cart during checkout to be eligible.

Was about to post the same deal in JBHIFI. Got it from JB as I got a Perks discount of $50 (if you purchase something $500+) + 10% off the gift cards in Woolworths TCN Him.sadly non of the free bezels are available in Sydney

    • Sounds like you got a great deal too. Well done.

    • Did they order bezels for you? Wasn’t any in stock when I purchased mine today but the guy said I’ll still get free bezels when they come in

      • Damn…. Only white was available for me and was able to get the white one now or I can order with a discount another color + delivery… Lucky you

    • did the same and got two of these. I tied these in with 15% off tcn gift cards from last year

  • I think the price is $1,276

Samsung 65" LS03B 4K The Frame QLED Smart TV 22"

    Classic…

I get these errors with any location I put for delivery or pickup?

    • Bugger. This happened to me a few weeks back. Try JB. HN might ship more into your state, try in a few days.
I assume this price is to make way for the 2023 model.

      • I tried every capital city and it was the same? It actually says it's in stock at my local GG on the product page, but glitches out at checkout.

Edit: Okay, I just tried it in Edge instead of Firefox and it worked a bit better, allowed me to pick up from my local store at least but still no delivery to any city I tried which sucks because the only way to get the bezel is by delivery as they are out of stock everywhere.

        • I had the same issue as well. Finally figured out that the TV was available to collect, but the frame bezel was only available to deliver. Causing the system to get stuck and keep showing error. I just called up and order, pretty easy and fast. You can also get colours that are sold out, but it'll deliver to u at a later date.

Don't forget to book a unicycle for transport.

    • Or get this guy to help you out!

Old mate is pretty handy. He could do deliveries for Hardly Normal.

  • Can you lay these things flat in the back of the car these days for a very short 5 min trip?

    • +1

At your own risk yeah, it's just the weight of the screen isn't designed to sag in that way. Any angle would be better than flat. And avoid bumps

      • +1

Whether it's tilted or completely flat, should the screen be facing up or down? I'm assuming screen facing up would be better.

    • Might be safer to book a maxi taxi?

      • +2

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing haha. It's literally around the corner and I can drive as slowly as I want, but taxi might be safer

Turns out it doesn't matter. While the tv is available at my closest store, the frame isn't. And it won't let me do click and collect on tv and ship frame since it's the same order. How annoying. This is JB hifi.

        • Go instore if you can. Went in today and they had the bezels out back even though online showed no stock, only had a couple of colours though.

          • @jjno41: It was marked as sold out for both JB and good guys shortly after my post, so I just went to Harvey Norman instead. Said it might take 2-3 months for frame to arrive though, wtf. Oh well.

    • Store sales rep told me if you lie flat in car it voids your warranty. Provided they see you doing it

    • Ha. I wouldn't risk it, especially for something over $1k.

When I was picking up from GG, they said it had to be vertical otherwise they wouldn't let me take delivery. Because of the risk the screen would crack. It just fit in my car.

  • 75inch becomes $1916 too which is not too bad.

JB Hi-Fi has has it for the same price and promo https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-65-the-frame-qled…

I've currently got a massive box with a broken-on-delivery Frame 65" sitting taking up a heap of room in my living room, which I've been trying to get Samsung to replace and send out a new one.
    Absolute nightmare.

An email, 3 phone calls, a webchat and 10 business days later, still no confirmation (literally no record in any shape or form) that they've processed a replacement.

    And it cost me $1600.

So I think it'd be easier to just get a refund from them now and order this from TGG or JB.

Absolutely piss poor support from Samsung.

  • What's the best way to transport any TV in your car (provided it fits in)? Laid down face up, standing,?

    • +2

Definitely standing up. If you lay it flat (face up or down doesn’t matter) you risk damaging the panel.

      • +1

This is true - that said, it's worth noting that when I looked into it a lot of the continuation of this advice is perception that it's 'best practice' rather than actual real world testing etc as TV tech & materials have changed from when this advice was first given.

As it first came about with plasma tech, which had a lot of weight and glass in the screens. But I looked into it recently and the reports were that the current tech is much less prone to issues than plasmas.

So in short they're more tolerant of transport issues - so flat or angled, with padding and care is doable if needed - but upright is still the 'best practice'.

  • comes down to $1276 for me.

    Great deal!

I ordered a 65" Frame directly from Samsung (via their partner portal) last weekend and they charged $1798 including the bezel.

I called them and they refused to price match, so I just cancelled the order and placed an order with JB.

    $448 saved. Result!

  • Also for GG the storecash can be considered right?

Earn $100 StoreCash> when you spend $750-1499 OR Earn $150 when you spend $1500-$2000.

Does anyone use the storecash? https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/storecash

I tried to claim it and I'm not sure it actually worked. The google wallet says the balance is $0

    • Store cash is such a scam, please don’t account for it as part of the costing.

      • Can you elaborate?

Did you have a bad experience with using or gaining the credit? It was so challenging to try and get it but don't know if I got the full amount or anything.

        • +1

It’s a lot of hoops to jump through and then you might have to wait a month to get it, and that’s a big if. Then it might appear for a couple of days then it’s gone forever. They could literally just give you voucher upon purchase instead

          • @jjno41: Thanks for sharing.

Yeah they should just give a voucher. Much easier. Not sure what their goal is with the scheme….

    • I have used storecash before, you have to provide your mobile number that is linked to the google wallet. It will be paid out on the Store Cash pay day.

Mine came and I used it to buy a whole bunch of Breville accessories

  • Probably won't be many people checking this thread anymore, but what do you guys think after trying it out?

I only just unpacked it now. Only tried it briefly but we both thought it looked washed out and actually much worse than our old tv (60" Samsung lcd 1080p, about 10 years old). We didn't try them side by side, and obviously there's more details with 4k, but you know what I mean. Despite the frame tv probably having some compromises compared to other current series, we thought it would surely crush a 10 year old tv in all categories.

We were very surprised. Hopefully it's just some settings or whatnot. Or just because we are so used to how the other one looks like (better or worse) after using it for so long or something. Or the input itself (I mostly tried Netflix, which we haven't upgraded to 4k yet, but the old tv obviously had the same input too). Or is it the matt finish that's throwing us? Who knows.

I will try and do some testing over the next few days. Hopefully it's just a setting somewhere.

Edit: old tv is Samsung ua60h6300 if that means anything to anyone

    • I am yet to pickup my one. Please share results of your extensive testing. How does the art mode look like? Try some photos. They need to have 3840 x 2160 resolution.
