https://shop.lorespresso.com.au/collections/lor-barista-coff… - machine RRP $159 FYI available in black and white.

    • Whilst $159 from L'Or these are frequently $99 at Coles and Woolworths with 40-60 pods included.

Good to know, I just saw it was missing from the OP.

  • the deal somewhat seams dodgy…

do you get warranty on the "free" machine?

    • Yes. We had a doa and got replaced.

    • +1

Yes. Standard warranty applies. Got mine assessed and fixed for free after 2.5 years.

  • Thanks,

  • can you buy the pods from anywhere? any good deals e.g. Costco?

    • I don't have a Costco locally but they're frequently on special at Coles.

I know Woolies and Coles both sell these machines in 40-60 pod bundles for $99~ alot aswell, so they should be readily available.

      • Im a costco addict. Buy your pods elsewhere if you want good prices

    • Around 30c a pod (sometimes more, sometimes less) on Amazon semi-frequently.

      A bit more right now:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/759889

I think 26c or 27c might have been the cheapest ever, but don't think I've seen under 30c for a long time.

I believe they are anywhere between 33-45c a pod when they sell them at Costco (depending if they are a special deal). And usually 45-50c on sale at Coles/Woolworths? (Not sure, I never look for them there).

      • With Amazon S&S about 35c a pod seems as good as it gets now. Prime day lets see if drops to ~30c.

        • The link I posted above (top one) is 31.9c per pod.

    • They are Nespresso compatible, so get pods from ColesWorth, favourite shop/online vendor ;)

These aren't bad when you can't find them under 40c per pod:

    • @Marcx33 Yes, but to get the free machine you have to purchase on the L'Or website…..you get 16 packs (10 pods in each pack), for $120, and the machine for free.

The pods themselves are often $5 per 10 pack at Coles/Woolies, so 16 packs = $90, so you are getting the machine for $30. Pretty good deal.

  • If you're in SA foodland had it for roughly $80 with 40 pods.

    • $2 a pod? might as well go to a barista

      • Where can you get a $2 coffee from a barista?

        • same place where you pay $2 per pod

  • There are no double capsules in Australia according to L'or. I contacted them today and they answered promptly. I much prefer the double size capsules as they taste stronger and fuller flavoured.

    • i have bought many double capsules from Lor….. Did i wake up in a parallel world?

      • Yes! I have the email from them too. Apparantly and this is hearsay, they somehow lost a whole consignment of the doubles en route to Oz. I too have bought many doubles from L'or!

        • lost? a whole consignment? off the ship? on the sea?

          (scared face

          • @Smilence03: That is what I heard. How true it is I do not know. However, what I said earlier is straight from L'or.

          • @Smilence03: Found and copied their email, here it is:
            Hello David,

Thanks for contacting Jacobs Douwe Egberts about L’or Double Shot Capsules. We apologize for the delay

@Madbro: hahaha awesome read, thanks for sharing. The ambiguous wording there leaves heaps of room for imagination, haha!

            • +1

@Madbro: I just placed an order today and they had Double Lungo profuno available. Not sure if that’s the same as what you’re talking about though.

              • @digitalbath: I just checked and you are correct, thanks. I now only buy the 13s and 11s and presume they will be in stock sometime in April.
