  Can't speak to this model, but I have a smaller top mount from chiq, so far it's been reliable and no issues other than one case of something touching the back wall in the fridge and freezing. It's very basic but happy with what I paid for it

  I have the bigger model and got to say it shows up every finger print or mark from a cloth on the outside i would not pick this colour again 1st week I had it it would flood the floor the guy was out to fix it 48 hours worked out it was not set up right in the back but touch wood no other problem so far.

    Customer Care Plan commences upon expiry of the manufacturer warranty. All the info you need is on the website

  I saw this brand, in Good Guys, has a hybrid fridge so you could change it all into a large upright freezer. I don't know the brand that well to know if it's worth spending the money. I guess you get the extra warranty just incase

  CHiQ is actually Changhong, one of the largest electronics companies in China. I have one of their TVs, bought 5 years ago and it's been faultless, touch wood.
  They are also the sole manufacturer of batteries for some of China's fighter planes.

  Went to have a look at the physical fridge and the sales guy told that Chic manufactures the compressors for Westing House fridges.
  I ended up buying the white model for $717 which is was pretty good value for a 515 capacity fridge and with the promo for an added 2 years warranty, it will be 5 years warranty on the fridge and 7 years warranty on the compressor.
