Google Map Removed Fuel Price Display

Anyone else noticed that Google Maps no longer shows the petrol price when looking at the nearby fuel stations.

    Use Petrolspy

    • always been using petrol spy, so good, especially in SA, took ages to get live fuel pricing here. But its excellent prices are accurate to 10 mins ish, But once I did encounter OTR not being same as on petrol spy price, took screenshot of the petrol spy price,

Reporting system was so difficult so i didnt bother reporting to gov. It's literally so hard remembering all that stuff. But its not allowed to display some other price on petrol spy and have some other one on place.

Doesn't Petrol spy just rely on the public manually submitting prices? Not sure how you can say its accurate to 10mins unless that's just how often people have been submitting prices

In SA gas stations are required to provide prices (of all fuel types, e10, u91 diesel, gas etc. all of them) to gov, who shares prices with other companies like RAA, petrolspy etc,

So in petrol spy you can see who submitted that price (should say something SA fuel reporting scheme i think)

  • You aren’t using 7 eleven fuel lock?

  • Still shows for me

  • Yep. I have had the same problem for the past 2 days. I live in Sydney but nearby prices came up in Wagga Wagga or there abouts.

  • I am in melbourne.. And google maps was just perfect. There were few times i saw outdated prices but now i get nothing.

If you care about the cost of fuel, maybe the real problem is you are driving too much.

    • real problem

      is inflation
      is RBA
      is Philip Lowe
      is Ukraine War

Person driving is a victim not the problem

Yeah. I hate it when people go to work.

      • Lots of people can work from home…

Beats me why people volunteer hours of their time to travel to an office and sit at a computer which they could do from home…

But hey obviously giving up hours for commuting for no money is the smart move.

If you're in NSW or the ACT use the NSW Govt's FuelCheck App - shows every station in both states, all fuel prices.

    • Petrol spy does it too

fyi PetrolSpy relies on users to update prices and can sometimes be days out of date. FuelCheck gets its info in real time from the outlets.

        • It may depend on which state your in, but I've found it syncs with the govt data rather than waiting for user reports

@silenthillrocks: Yeah I think you're right - it differs from state to state.
