    • I had one and I used the grommet mount and some metal plates above and below to distribute the force. It would have crushed through my malm desk like it was tissue paper

  • Is this a good alternative to an adjustable riser for a sit stand desk?

    • If you mean instead of the variable height platform, no. It isn't designed to move that far and won't bring your keyboard and mouse up with it.

Along with a standing desk is good if you need to change monitor height between sitting and standing positions

For those asking about ultrawides, I'm using this on a Dell 2722dgm (27" 1500r curve) - not an ultrawide but might give you and indicator of how yours will fare. It holds it, but I had to turn the tilt tensioner as tight as possible. My concern with an ultrawide would not so much the screen size but how the curvature would take the centre of gravity out further and increase chances of slump. I've got a 27" Samsung G7 (1000) as well and haven't taken the gamble yet with another of these for that. However for this price it might be worth a try …

  • My desk top is barely 35mm thick, would the clamp be ok?

Also, how flush/close to the wall can you get the monitor?

    • +1

I use a brick between the clamp and under the table. Works fine with my Dell S3423 (~6kg). I'm about 12cm from the wall

    • Mine is like 24mm and can do clamp

I found this one better :)

What's better about it (besides being cheaper)?

Just assembled the H100 - it's pretty solid. Holds up 34" UW monitor quite nicely.

    • Do you have any issues with vertical tilt? I've just set mine up with a 34" UW as well and it droops forward even at maximum torque.

Just read a few of the top reviews and the sagging gets worse over time. Hopefully yours is all good.

      • +1

For what it's worth, I don't have that issue with my H100s but I'm using them with a 29" and a 24" monitor, both of which are probably not as heavy as a 34" monitor.

I also have one arm folded back right up against the post and other isn't extended too far out from its post.

I seem to recall the torque adjustment in the arm making little to no difference in the vertical tilt rigidity when I was setting them up but tightening the screw on the actual VESA hinge pivot did actually prevent any vertical movement.

There do seem to be a few reviews mentioning this issue with curved 34" inch screens which obviously have their weight distributed a lot further forward than traditional flat panels, which may exceed the tolerances of the hinges.

Yeh, mine is all good right now (Xiaomi 34" curved ultra-wide), but I guess it's something to watch out for.

But if you bought from amazon, just package it up and do a return. I've returned a few things now that were below expectations, and always gotten a refund, no questions asked.

As @Gnostikos says, make sure you tighten the adjustment where the vesa plate connects to the arm. I had to do that initially.

      • Can confirm I'm having this issue with a Dell 16:9 4K 32 curved monitor.

I have jerry-rigged a solution with some string behind the plastic part through the vesa mount which uses tension since as others have said, the screw itself cannot hold some monitors it seems.

Annoying but for the price I guess it was only 30 mins of fiddling to fix it so not too bad

          issue with a Dell 16:9 4K 32 curved monitor.

As Gnostiko said above, the curved display creates more forward hanging weight.
A 10kg curved monitor could be the equivalent of a 16kg standard flat monitor for the tilt adjust (putting it over the max weight specification).

Just assembled mine, but was unable to tighten the pivot on the vesa mount plate so I pulled off the covers and it appears something is missing, the little deformed washer fell out in pic 2 but it appears some type of nut is missing

Could someone pull of their pivot cover and show me what it should look like?

Here is what my first one/what it should look like: https://imgur.com/a/wuMTVS6

My recent one is like yours. I ended up contacting the seller and they're sending me a new nut and bolt.. we'll see how we go!

Update to this. No go for me. Upon further inspection the original nut was completely broken (much like yours @singlemalt72).
The replacement nut and bolt was much better but still couldn't hold up my 34" curved ultrawide which is ~7kg so I'll be returning it.

I disassembled the pivot joint of my stand, photos shared below.

@singlemalt72, the part that fell out of yours looks damaged (stripped) to me.

Looking at the mechanism, I think it should be fairly easy to rig something up to allow additional torque resistance to be configured.

      • Cheers, but I returned it to Amazon and got a replacement.
