  • Shopping square have been really slow with delivering , my mate waited over a month to receive his last memory card..

  • I bought a SD card from them before and got it in 5 biz days. I guess it depends how busy they are?

They have had this on their eBay store for $36.95 shipped for the past few days. Saving of $1.05

    • saving of 1.05, does that equate to a bargain?

      • +3

$1.05 in my pocket as opposed to theirs.

They also prioritise the service on the eBay sales due to the potential for negative feedback. (All complaints about their site sales go into /dev/null.)

    Two questions.

1 Are these the new or old sandisk packaging ones?
2 Are these legit or grey? "1 Year warranty in Australia." suggests it's grey and no sandisk lifetime warranty

  • Just bought a 16gig the other day for $25. Definately would have gone this one if it'd just com ea little earlier

Hello123, I am still waiting on danilochan of Shoppingsquare to respond to my previous enquiry.
I bought this exact SDHC card from shoppingsquare and sub-standard speed made me investigate the card and I believe the signs are pointing towards a fake Sandisk. So I need to know what the best course of action is for rectification. So at this stage, I will be wary of this card type.

I have bought other Sandisk products from Shoppingsquare previously like the 32gb Extreme CF, Cruzer Contour. Those have been verified to be authentic. And it is just the SDHC that I have dissatisfaction with.

For those buying Sandisk SD, please read following link:

    • Hmmm I bought this from them a month or 2 back. When I get home I will check for the points in the link and see if genuine.

      • Yep mine was on 4/6/12. Didn't think to check until I felt the transfer rate was not up to scratch. Do check, the engraved serial is the easiest to check for.

ordered one last week exact model 32gb 45MB/s arrived today at home. Will let all know if fake or not. I reckon the quickest way to know is to look for the serial number at the back of the card. If it proves to be fake then I don't want it. Just not sure how to demand refund on this, it's also my first time ordering from shoppingsquare. And I think will never again order from them. Hope I prove myself wrong. Hope the others post their findings so we could collectively plan a course of action if the cards prove to be fake.

yeap, got two 32gb 45mb/s a few months ago for 39.95 from shopping square as well. I sometimes get transfer errors, and go pro videos stop recording randomly from one of the cards. And whaddya know, theres no serial number at the back either.

Lets see what course of action we can take now..

        • Just in their defense, I have been a Shoppingsquare customer for 3 years on now, all products so far has been good except for this allegedly fake SDHC.
There is not excuse for carrying fake products and at this stage I have not approached ShoppingSquare directly, seeing that "danilochan" appears to be previously active as an ambassador of Shoppingsquare on Ozbargain posts. Still waiting to hear what he has to say.

I was hoping that it was just mine that slipped through the cracks and I was thinking "there must be an explanation. But it seems to have affected others that bought this from them. I guess that confirms my suspicion.

What should we do now? Hopefully someone with similar experience reading this could provide some guidance.
          Hopefully

Got mine this morning and had a quick look. It does have a serial number at the back of card. Box doesn't have warranty sticker. Haven't tested yet or verified serial number. Is there a utility I can use to verify serial number? Or a way to verify authenticity of this particular card model?

        • You can call Sandisk to verify a serial number.

        • +1

serial numbers are not per card. I have a batch of verified cards and they all ahve the same serial number.

best to run h2test with a fast reader

  • Great price, thanks :)

    where's memorycity rep?
need her to beat this :)

  • I just received my SD card from this deal and it was posted from Syd.
It was in original packaging and sealed up as it should be with a serial number on the back.
In fact I'm doubting that my older Sandisk card may be fake.

How do we contact Sandisk in Aus to verify the serial number??

    • Hi mtech

All of our Sandisk products are officially offered by Sandisk. There is NO Serial number issued with Sandisk Extreme 32GB SDHC card product (but only the lot number by laser print on the back of the product ). Some Sandisk distributor may print a "after market" serial number and stick on the product to identify their own Sandisk products.
