The Good Guys Says You Need to Purchase Concierge Service to be eligible for StoreCash Promotion

I followed below post to purchase an iphone from good guys for $80 store cash back to Feb and still have not received any store cash today.

Today, I have been told by good guys customer service team that I need to purchase concierge service together with the phone (like extended warranty) (which is an extra cost) to be eligible for the $80 store cash.

I double checked with two stores before I purchase, no one told me I need to purchase concierge service for the $80 store cash and I have been told before I made the payment that the store cash will be most likely to be texted to my mobile early March.

Can I still access the T&C on the Feb good guys store cash promotion? It is not on their website anymore.

I should have purchased from JB Hifi next door where they have my preferred color.

    Searching for "Concierge" in these T&Cs showed that the following section may be relevant to your circumstances.

    2. Marketing Communications:

    In order to receive StoreCash you must continue to be subscribed to marketing communications from The Good Guys, or if you have a Gold Service Extras membership or a Mobile Extras membership you must continue to be subscribed to Concierge Member Communications.

    You can unsubscribe from marketing communications or Concierge Member Communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the relevant communication or via the unsubscribe link in the ‘Details’ section of the Digital Wallet.

    However, please be aware that if you unsubscribe from marketing communications, or if you have a Gold Service Extras membership or a Mobile Extras membership you unsubscribe from Concierge Member Communications, you will not receive any further StoreCash or StoreCash Offers in your Digital Wallet and any existing and unused StoreCash or StoreCash Offers in your Digital Wallet at that time will be void and cannot be redeemed at The Good Guys.

    9. Definitions

    Concierge Member Communications means all communications (including marketing communications) sent to Gold Service Extras or Mobile Extras members relating to their Gold Service Extras or Mobile Extras memberships.

    Seems like you still get it if you subscribe to their marketing communications, which i believe is free to join.

  • As jjj123 says, you need to sign up for the store cash Google wallet before you make your purchase for at least some of their cashback deals. I got caught out with this. The store staff either genuinely know nothing, or are purposely lying about the conditions of their "deals". Based on my dealings with the GG, I suspect it's sales staff stupidity rather than malice.

    • Even I followed the t&c to sign up the store cash google wallet before i purchase they still say i am not eligible for store cash. Yes, staff knew nothing about google wallet thing at my time of purchase.

  • Concierge is a load of crap, I bought a 3 year plan and never got any credits on the first year. Told me I had to subscribe to marketing, so changed it to all, they send me my credits for the year. Never got another one again, logged back in my concierge account and marketing was changed to off (100% not me that changed it) but I have been receiving TGG sales emails regardless. Sent my enquiry off a few weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back. Thanks for reminding me to follow up

    keep me updated . I did not purchase the extra Concierge Service but what I was told I should still eligible for $80 storecash
