I don’t plan on investing anything - will just see how withdrawing the $50 goes. Thanks for the article!

    • +4

      $50 is $50. :/

  • Only ever touched this company is day trading it when it hit 40c lol

    • $50 profit to offset some of those capital losses. 😛

      • +1

Capital gains in 2020 you mean… Still wouldn't touch it. From a $780k CR on Equitise with I believe 23 investors to a year later buying this feature ("Goodments") for $2m AUD.

        • +5

Yeah the company is junk, but they just need to stay solvent until I get my $50.

  • just registered. Hope withdrawing the $50 won't be horrible

    • Have you got the $50?

      • +2

        still not

        • Thanks for the update. Have you contacted support about this?

  • Do we need to invest the $50 first, sell then it can be withdrawn?

  • Thanks just signed up too - how long does it take for the $50 to show?

    • Says in OP up to 24 hrs -

      "2. Get Your $
Once you’ve successfully signed up, we’ll drop $50 (US$33) in your Douugh investing wallet (this may take up to 24 hours to land)."

    • Have you got the $50?

      • nope, did you get?

        • Haven’t got mine but signed up like 21 hrs ago. I’m gana guess that it has been canned based on LLK’s comment below. Here’s hoping we get it but will see.

        • Nope as I just signed up today.

          • @ilovefullprice: signed up 2 days ago, still nothing, I didn't fund anything though

        • +1

Have shot them a message via the in-app chat. Hopefully they can pop it through.

          • +1

@CoffeeSnob: I noticed on their "$20 referral" promo it mentions that you must have funds already in your account to get it. Just checked and the minimum deposit is $50. Not gana risk throwing $50 in. Maybe if it was $1… But that is maybe why we arent getting it.

      • +1

I actually got the email from FuPay and signed up almost 48 hours ago. Still nothing, No $50/$33USD. May need funds in the account (min. being $100 so I think I’ll pass).

What’s the bet they slug you fees to withdraw even if you do get the $33 USD. Seems a bit scammy. Hope I’m wrong!

        • Others are saying min $50 deposit, are you sure you need to deposit $100?

Edit: Just went through the process my self and minimum deposit is $50.

I bought share at .38 and currently it’s trading at .008. Wish I get get $50 some loss will be covered 😂

    • I bought at 30c and sold at 11c, glad I got out (doouhh!)

      • I took a 64% loss and they can get lost

    Major updates coming

We appreciate your interest in signing up for Douugh, however we're not currently accepting new sign-ups as we are working an major updates to the Douugh app

    • Source for this please?

    • Major updates requiring them to stop accepting new sign-ups?
Sounds like they are going insolvent/being acquired

      • I think they mean where are you getting this message?

        • From the app itself,
once i clicked sign up - then it shows this message

          • @LLK: Is it just me getting this message?

            • +1

@LLK: I signed up evening yesterday and didn’t see this message. On iOS.

            • +1

@LLK: I’m on iOS as well and signed up without issue….other than still no sign of the mythical $35 USD.

              • +1

@I like freestuff: Thanks for the update - maybe my app problem?
I will try again once there's someone confirmed $35 received

      • Yes I got an email stating they are closing all accounts

  • +1

Just got an email back from support, apparently you need to make a deposit (minimum $50) to get the bonus.

"Hi nomikeynonomikey, thank you for reaching out. Since you used the FU50 code during sign-up, you will receive the bonus within 24 hours after funding the account."

    • +1

Yeah, I got the same reply today.

Is it worth the risk? Is that $50 AUD or $50 USD?

And, would we be able to withdraw that and the "bonus" relatively easily?
I assume there'll be some fees, but wondering what the end value/profit would be.

      • Would like to know this too.

      • +1

$50 AUD. No idea how easy it is to withdraw though.

Upon checking there is also a W8-BEN fee of $7.25 as well as a 0.5% fee if you want an instant deposit. $50 AUD would leave you with $27.79 USD.

I'd say net profit is probably ~$40 AUD, but that's under the assumption this company isn't dodgy…

    • Well well well…

    • Got the same reply as well. Not gana risk it and have sent off the request to delete my account under "help and support".

    • Did you still have to buy any shares after the funding hits your account in order to get the bonus after 24 hours, or is funding the account enough?

  • Make sure you transfer to an accout that matches your name. Otherwise they will hit you with a $25 fee.

    • +5

I'm not gonna bother either. To connect an account, you have to log in with your internet banking credentials (I used an ING Debit that has only a couple of dollars on it), but even after connecting, there doesn't seem to be any option or mechanism to withdraw funds, and i'm not about to fund the Douugh account just to see if the option appears.

If the OP or someone on OzBargain has had the bonus applied and withdrawn their funds, please let us know.

  • Signing up now to see how it goes, thanks OP

  • Funded the account with $50. It’s been over 24 hours and still not bonus.

  • They’ve stopped replying to me now. This doesn’t look good. Their in app support chat also doesn’t seem to work. Constantly stuck on “1 in queue”.

  • +1

Looks like a waste of time, guys. I'm not risking depositing $50

  • Money finally got deposited. Took nearly 12 days. Pathetic.

    • +1

So promotion works? I deposit 50$, i will get 50$?

      • Yeah it works. Just might take a while. It's more like $35, though.

        • Now question is how long does it take to withdraw your initial deposit+ bonus?

        • Do you need to invest/buy anything first, sell and then only able to withdraw?

          • +1

@ilovefullprice: Yeah you need to invest the bonus money and then sell. I’m now having trouble selling the shares I bought with the bonus. I’ve been told I need to wait a few more days before I can sell. Never had that problem before.

            • @bargaindaddy: Thanks! I am guessing there are fees when you buy and sell. Are they high?

            • @bargaindaddy: @bargaindaddy Do you have to invest the full deposit amount + the bonus received in order to withdraw it?

    • Received mine today. Can’t see any withdrawal options tho..

  • Update: Choice of getting $50 or using referral and getting $20/$13 and giving $20 to the referrer. Withdrawal options are in "Discover US shares" —-> transfer. May have to change your selected withdrawal bank account to the purple icon. Had one selected with my banks logo and it didn't work (even though they are the same account).

There is also a $7 fee for processing a Us shares tax form. So more like $43 after that. Need to do a buy and sell (any amount) to withdraw bonus. Previous closed deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/761083 Have earned and withdrawn mine.

  • Recieved a Kyc request after withdrawal for: Photo id, selfie and bank statement. Rep replied quickly after these were sent.

  • Also monthly $3.99 fee for unlimited trading….

    • Is that optional or do they just charge you it any way?

      • From: https://douugh.com/fsg

Charged for any trades for that month afaik. Other charges may apply for US stocks per trade (few cents).another service called pearler with $6.99 a month unlimited and two months free with a referral code.
