[Westpac] Apple Store: Bonus 15% Cashback ($100 Cap, Eligible Westpac Card Required) @ ShopBack

620

Saw this on the phone this morning.
Bonus 15% capped at $100 when you pay with your eligible Westpac card.

I also saw the main shopback page was showing an increased 5% cashback from 7-10 March for Apple store.

The phone app doesn't show T&C properly, and neither does the banner ad.

Copy/Paste std T&C from webpage
EDU Products (https://www.apple.com/au-hed/store) 5.00%
Standard Cashback 1.20%
iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max/ 13 Pro (incl Green finishes), iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 11, Homepod ( 2nd Gen ) 0.00%
EDU Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch SE (Previous Model), Apple Watch Series 3Products 0.00%
MacBook 14-inch & 16-inch featuring M2 Pro and M2 Max, Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro 0.00%

It says EDU is 5% and does not explicitly exclude M2 Macbook Pros from Edu store (unlike the Apple Watches).

GYB might clarify.

It might work, it might not.
Do it and cross your fingers - YMMV.

    $666.66 to max it out

    apple + westpac = satan

    • +5

You forgot that the GST component doesn’t get cashback, so $733.33

  • So I understand the normal Mac Mini M2 cashback rate is 0% but can someone confirm if this 15% additional cashback offer (capped at $100) will work for M2?

    • MacBook 14-inch & 16-inch featuring M2 Pro and M2 Max, Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro 0.00%

      • So 0% + 15% bonus cashback? That's really my question

        • +1

Usually 0% categories do not qualify for bonus Cashback.

          • +1

@wordsmith: Correct, Bonus Cashback will only apply to purchases that earn Cashback outside of the Westpac Lounge.

  • Does it have to be your westpac card? Or can you use your partners card on your account?

    • Whichever s linked to your SB acc

      • So as long as you have a west pac card attached to your account you will get the bonus?

Do you have to pay using that westpac card?

  • Tempted to buy iPad mini

    • Tempting

Hey hey, just pulled from the store notes for Apple for Education on the ShopBack wesbite:

    • Cashback ineligible for AirPods Pro (1st Gen) iMac (Retina 5k 27-inch), Apple Pro Display XDR, BOSE products, iTunes, Trade-in-parts, Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, Apple Developer Programs, Shipping and AppleCare products purchased
    • Cashback ineligible for MacBook 14-inch & 16-inch featuring M2 Pro and M2 Max, Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max/ 13 Pro (incl Green finishes), iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 11
    • Cashback ineligible for Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch SE (Previous Model), Apple Watch Series 3, Mac Studio

If you want me to take a look at specific products, let me know, happy to help out.

    • Hello, is Apple Watch Series 8 eligible?

      • Hmmmmm, I wouldn't bank on it I'm afraid, it's a relatively new release so I think it's more likely that Apple have yet to add the Series 8 to their terms on out site. I'll check in with Apple and let you know when I hear back, but yeah my instinct is no.

      • Hey mate, I stand corrected! Our info from Apple has the Series 8 listed as eligible for Cashback.

        • Hi GYB, normally how long does it take to track Apple purchases? I placed an order for an Apple Watch 8 on Monday for the previous 8% upsize and already have it delivered, however it hasn't been tracked. I'm thinking to return that one and place another order today so that I don't miss the upsized cashback.

          • @1000060: They have a 7 day window for tracking so it could be tracked between now and Sunday, mate! I've seen some take 24-48 hours and some take a bit longer, so can only really go off of the window that Apple give us here.

    • Hi rep, is $20 cap for single transaction? Can we claim it multiple times? Thanks

      • Per transaction mate, if you exit Apple and click through from ShopBack again in between purchasing you can redeem multiple times.

  • Is the most recent Apple Watch SE eligible? Thank you.

    • +1

Hey mate, just double checked on this one and can confirm, the newest model is eligible for Cashback.

      • Thanks so much!!

  • Can you pay partially with gift cards and still get cashback on the whole purchase?

    • Yep, Apple are fully stackable for payments via gift card :)

      • Thank you

      • How about gift cards + account credits + westpac credit card ?

        • +1

Sorry I missed your comment, mate! Yeah so from what I can tell account credits are treated like gift cards by Apple, and as gift cards are fully stackable, a partial payment with gift card + eligible Westpac card should earn the full tracked amount + the Bonus as well.

  • Is Apple account credits plus gift cards as partial payment eligible?

  • I think the bonus cashback has ended?

    • Ends tonight. App says 17hrs remaining.
edit: actually, you're right, its now 10% with $50 cap.
