  • Thinking of getting this. Anyone has any thoughts about this vs MILLBERGET from ikea?

both are just going to peel in 12 months aren't they

      • +2

cheap fake leather chair = horrible peel

        • Less about peel, more about comfort. Do you know which feels more comfortable?

          • @jpeg-jpg: Both probably very uncomfortable. Better off getting a used office chair

Get a cloth something, not plastic. It feels nicer, and lasts a LOT longer.

  • Explosion-proof baseplate?

    I read Douchelife

I bought two of these for my young boys (each about 25kg). The chairs started to die after 3 months, died at 6 months. The PU cracked, peeled and split. The padding failed (different layers of foam glued and stapled to the thin ply wood base definitely not Cold-Cure Memory Foam. The chair base is not constructed like a quality chair. The Different lays of foam covering the back of the chair collapsed through the steel frame. At least you can go to Ikea and try the MILLBERGET. The MILLBERGET will last longer. Again you do get what you pay for when it comes to chairs.

get what you pay for when it comes to chairs.

Applies to a lot of things really. $100 delivered is really just super basement quality. You buy the absolute cheapest anything, and it's going to be essentially landfill.

  • That is not exactly true. Go buy a BMW and see what it cost to replace the plastic engine parts when they fail. Price unfortunately does not reflect quality….

  • Wont last long enough to peel.

    CRAP.

Go to your local Used Office Furniture shop and buy a chair. I did and it lasted 15 years.

This thing broke up/down within a fee weeks, shortly thereafter the arm rest broke and not long after the tilt function broke. All from a 50kg kid.
