    Heartguard prevents heartworm disease and control intestinal hookworm and roundworm.
    Allwormer covers roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm.

    Heartworm (Heartguard): Monthly
    Allwormer (Drontal): every 3 Months

    I bought one pack small dog and one pack medium dog plus delivery. My order confirmation shows at $24.34 but I was charged $42.20. What's up with that?

    I have a puppy 3 months old and ive read you cant give them heartworms tablets after 8 weeks as they need to go to the vet in case they have heartworm.

    Is this true??

      No, that is old news. You can treat heartworm (just like this medication states) by giving your dog a heartworm 'preventative'. It's only dangerous if you give your dog a large dose while it's already got heartworm, as the worms will all die and may block up the heart (circulatory shock).
      Many dog owners and animal shelters treat heartworm with heartworm preventatives, it's just it will take about a year to kill them all as the medication only kills the young heartworms, you are letting the adult ones die of old age. Otherwise some dog owners pay around $600 for 'Immiticide' to treat heartworm as they do not know about the other much cheaper way.
      There is heaps of info on the net about this, so testing for heartworm before giving it to your dog is not necessary!

    yes the vet should test for heartworm before you give heartworm preventative to your dog. i give my dogs the heartworm injection, its better than giving monthly wormers

      Our dogs won't eat chewable tablets.

      We found that once we added up the cost of hearworm medication and the flea treatments that never seemed to last for the time they were supposed to, that Revolution was cheaper, and does a brilliant job.
