LG C2 vs LG G2 OLED TV?

Time to upgrade mainly used for games + movies, my wife really likes the Samsung 'Frame' aesthetic.

Talked to someone @ JB they mentioned the LG 65" G2 Gallery Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD as the only OLED with similar features.

But the price difference between C2 & G2 is pretty hefty. To me the screen quality looks pretty comparable.

What is the difference?
Is it worth it?
Any other OLED capable of the framed art work look?

AFAIK c2 and g2 are the same internals just the look is different.
Also the g2 has no stand whatsoever in the box so you have to mount it
Pretty sure the G2 was recently on sale for less than the C2

    • I missed the g2

G2 can go brighter due to a better heatsink. G2 is designed to be wall mounted which is why it comes with a mount and not a stand.

If you're going to wall mount at a comparable price taking into consideration a mount for a C2 then just go G2.

  • G2 can get slightly brighter and is designed for wall mounting.

  • FYI G2 art mode is apparently a lot worse than Samsung Frame, but picture quality is a lot better.

    • Thanks

  • For value for money, the C2 is excellent. Got my old man one as he was using an older Samsung TV that was pretty laggy. The C3 is going to be released fairly soon.
The G2 is nice though but for a few hundred more went with the better value C2 and put more $ to a better sound system. As some have said as well about wall mounting, my folks didn't want to wall mount it so the C2 was the best choice.

Got it for $2556 at Good Guys with free delivery and a further 5% off via Cash Rewards. So $2428.20 in total, was good timing.

  • I have the g2 55 it’s a great tv if money is an issue go for the c2 I got mine on sale with the c3 coming out soon the c and g series should be on sale more often to get rid of them!!

  • C2 has more clout if you care about that
