  • wish it could support mesh

    Honor Xi3 :)

  • Looks just like my Huawei AX3 Pro. If someone has an existing AX3 Pro and wants to mesh it might be worth investigating to see if it is possible. I have since upgraded to the Xiaomi AX6000

Out of curiosity, how do you find the Xiaomi AX6000 so far?

Works like a charm. It does not have a whole heap of features, but it does allow me to set a fixed IP address for each device so I can see at a glance what is connected to my network. The 4x4 5Ghz radio is really good and I have never had any network slowdowns. Bought it back in May 2021 from an Ozbargain post and was very good value at the time. It probably doesn't make as compelling a purchase anymore though, as Asus and TP-Link AX6000 class routers have since come down in price.

  • Openwrt flashable?

    • Last time I checked, no for the Huawei which is a pity since it uses a quad core CPU which looks quite powerful. The Honor uses the dual core version I believe.

Easiest way for China to infiltrate Australian networks… Offload cheap networking gear preloaded with mandatory CCP backdoors.

Yes, so please stop using your mobile phones and any Wifi enabled devices for that matter. There are so many parts made in China lol.

      • What a choice 😆 the future is now

i am 100% sure, 50+% of the items you own are made in china.

i am pretty sure lots of non-chinese own companies have their goods manufactured in china and sell it in our local currency
      why?
      1) they can make big profit , buying cheap in RMB and sell it expensive in AUD, that's how the economy works
      2) if everything is made locally here, then, pretty sure it will be expensive, and hardly you can find any good bargains of those item in ozbargain
