Covid Vaccine for Travel Overseas

Just curious if covid and airlines is still a thing these days?
As parents are getting older they want us to visit them in uk. And they have not seen kids in person since covid started.
Two adults and two kids.

We asked a booking company who asked if we was vaccinated myself and wife has had two boosters that’s about it if I remember not had any others since.

Kids we was like when it became available for them do we or do we not and never bothered and it’s not such a big thing these days.

The booking company and I’m not sure if all ask the same question about vaccination but is this the norm and will they refuse if say kids have not had any?

We all have had covid once last year if I remember and just felt like cold to all of us.

But are there airlines who require this and ones not just for information purposes I am not saying we would not update or booster or not get the kids done just wanted to know if we have options.

As I thought it was not a thing these days to get vaccinated.

Thanks

Check entry requirements on gov website of country you want to visit.

Why are you using a “booking company” instead of booking tickets yourself?

UK entry does not require proof of vaccination anymore.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-c…

    • Not sure, I’m using them as they are well respected on Facebook well I’m just seeing what offers they come up with and even offer payment plan and who I used one time when i thought my mum was passing away and they saved me the hassle and got me the best deal that was back in 2015 though.

It’s been a while since I personally booked myself so who do you recommend to search on?

I’m not saying I would use this company just gives me an idea.

Yes I thought I search what uk said about it all and not required so but of a silly question to be asked by this company.
They never asked me 15 questions back in 2015 I thought it was a bit crazy.

Wife and I have to work out when best to go but they was only contacted to see what they come up with.

Is it best doing airline direct these days or agency

I would suggest searching on Google Flights to compare prices and booking directly on the airline website.

      • "well respected on Facebook"

Is that like a gold star from Choice Magazine or the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval????

Sounds like a contradiction in terms to me.

  • Based on UK government websites, you do not need a COVID-19 vaccine to enter the UK.

Not sure what you mean by a "booking company", entire thing sounds like a scam to me.

    • Sorry they are agency and they are well respected and been used before.

What’s the best sites to look on these days? And is there any tips to get best prices.
And do most be it agency’s or airline offer to pay it up, it’s been a while do you pay in full right away or pay just prior to to going.

Usually Skyscanner is fine, you can keep an eye out for sales on OzB.

Fly during off-peak periods if you don't have to go at very specific times.

You need to pay when you make the booking. This is the case regardless of whether you book directly with an airline or with a travel agent.

You and your kids should get all the vaccines you can, unless you don't like your parents.

I never thought of it that way but they are fully vaccinated so should be fine

My mother was in the ICU for weeks from covid. Doctors said 30% chance of dying. She pulled through, but her lung function will never be the same again. She wasn't vaccinated, idiots online convinced her it was a conspiracy.

I wouldn't take any more than 2 required by Aussie rules, and just carry the medicare certificate. (probably that's just fine unless you going to China)

Honestly probably wont leave Australia HAHA

Given how many people I know who got Covid travelling, its a good idea to get boosted first.
Vaccinate the kids too for your parents' sake.

Why? the vaccine does not stop transmission, and why the hell would you want kids to be vaccinated where the side effects are now so evident. I feel for you with this attituide

        science dude, not facebook conspiracies.

        • -3

pls share the science with me that prove covid "vaccines" stop transmission and therefore protect you from the virus. They call it a shot or jab for a reason as it is misleading to term it a vaccine, Further, the risks outweigh the benefits for anyone under 50 due to many factors including myocarditis…ask justin beiber. How you could give one shot or the booster tested on 8 mice to a child is just criminal. Note the vaccine has still only had emergency use approval in the usa 3 years later as they know they would never have a full approval yet the corrupt TGA took the money and approved.

  • It cool so many people want to travel overseas during a pandemic. And besides that, tks for driving inflation up as well .

  • I was told that yes vaccinated is still a thing to travel by this agency which is all good but uk say no requirement.
They also tell me flights are limited or seats is this possible when you’re thinking of going in mid sept to oct?
They also say some of the airlines Qatar and emirates not sure need to check back that an extra $250 plus depending on airlines for covid get covid and need change or cancel this is need per person so prices.
This just keeps adding up lol.
And emirates and Qatar prices go up tomorrow and need to be paid today by 4pm wa time lol.
    Anyone heard of this.

I am really going off the idea of making this trip just seems to had up and bit of nightmare to be honest.
