4pk e27 or b22 is $10 Which is better instead of buying single.

      Just a mistake. Thanks.

  • $10 for an rgb floodlight with au plug, that is flippin cheap considering its DIY install and assuming have access to a trial of kogan first.

    • I bought the sensor one and this colour non sensor one. They are fantastic. Very powerful.

I just managed to install mine yesterday and integrated nicely with Home Assistant and Tuya Local. But looks like the PIR only reports motion based on the sensor Lux setting. So you'd have to enable the sensor to turn on the light in full daylight if you want to use the PIR. Could hack an automation together to turn off the light immediately and then use Home Assistant to control the light I guess.

          • @adr8: Yep but if you want to use the PIR during the day to drive other automations like taking a photo or video you can't

        • Very easy to work with in Local Tuya, unlike some of the Kogan stuff. Tuya promised an official fully local integration a couple of years ago but I don't think we'll ever see it given the way the Chinese vacuum up data.

    • What do you need a colour floodlight for?

      • +1

        Party!

      • +8

adds a nice dimension to my swinger parties

      • its not as bright as you would expect a flood light to be, and you can control its brightness from the app if you feel its too bright for area you are using in, in my experience it works as a decent backyard right

        • +1

Because rgb light wattages are generally expressed isn’t terms of total theoretical draw if all colours were operating (red green blue and white or whites as applicable which is pretty rare and many software and hardware controllers doesn’t even let you do that) - If you had it on red I would estimate the draw to only be like 5w max.

  • how do you filter by VIP First deals?

  • Thx op, got mini USB cooler and wifi extender which I really don't need. But hey they are on sale

Same, my wife gets upset. I told her one day I sell them on Sunday Market.

      • Lol

How do you guys install this? Normally there won't be a power point outside the house?

    • you can run an extension cord from the Garage

  • Bought this sensor flood light, it has decent power and works great with the app for $10 its a bargain

  • +1

I suppose it’s a bargain and I shouldn’t question it, but given it’s RGB + CCT, it’s more likely a 10W white or something - depending on how the 20W is summed up across the various hues

  • How to buy more than one?

    • +2

      Buy twice or more.

  • 1 per customer???

  • Cheers bought 5 of the flood light, combined with amex $10 off $50

    • bought 5 of the flood light

      Worried about your neighbourhood?

      • 2 backyard, 2 at front , one for garage entry
Well technically one free with amex offer

Already installed the bunnings deal for the $12 wifi RGB oyster lights in my home, and have 8 extras

        Now to RGB outside

    • As in 5 orders with $10 each? Does that work?

  • Does it have Tuya support? I couldnt find it on the site but at times ive noticed these are just rebrand of other products skinned to there own app ie. Arlec products.

    • I'm hoping to integrate with home assistant and found this https://community.home-assistant.io/t/integrate-kogan-smarte…

Haven't read through it all yet but it seems like Smarterhome is based on Tuya, but getting it to work depends on the product.. ?

      • +1

Yes, works with Tuya and home assistant.

    • Yes, I have one, can confirm works with Tuya app.

  • sorry for the dumb question - can this smart light be used as a sensor light ? - no mention of PIR sensor in description.

    • Because it doesn't have a PIR Sensor

  • Thanks op, ordered quite a few things.

If anyone knows of a cheap reliable sensor to use with the floodlights, please let me know!

  • The keyboard is actually ~fine~, which means terrific value for $15. Brown switch > Blue switch, though.

  • I have one of the floodlights, and it is solid and bright. But when I plug it in, it often goes into pairing mode. Does anyone else have this?
When I open the Tuya app, it asks me to add it which then happens instantly (so the app remembers it, but the light doesn't).

    • Does it function well as a Dumb Floodlight? As in when it is pairing does it still function as a basic light?

      • It blinks at full brightness. So no, not as far as I can tell.

  • Got mine delivered today.
    They are pretty solid light
Says TUYA compatible on the box
Now to test them at night before i spend a few hours installing them

  • The Kogan E27/B22 colour smart light bulbs don't turn back on with the light switch if they were turned off via app/voice. Yeelight/Lenovo smart light bulbs come back on if you toggle physical light switch off and back on. I never considered that all smartlights might not do this. Really disappointed to realise after installing 8 of them. Ah well, first world problems… Huge deal at $2.50ea, thanks OP!

    • if they're Tuya based then you may be able to set the behavior to 'last setting' if running them through Home Assistant instead of the Kogan app.
My Mercator downlights can do it and they're pretty much white labelled Tuya
