Just putting this here so people don't miss the better deal, but topbuy is a better deal, you get a 12 month warranty with them and its only a few bucks more. ($546.95, $536.95 with coupon, scroll down for explanation)

      http://www.topbuy.com.au/tbcart/pc/Samsung-GALAXY-S-III-i930…

      • Is that one compatible with all Australian 3G networks?

  • How come it costs an extra $39 to get a white one? (32G Pebble blue $534.97, white $573.97)

    • -3

      Ignore

      • ?

    • Was the same with the Galaxy S II's. Not sure why (I prefer black anyway).

  • Warranty?

    • -1

      12 months Australia wide.

      • Where does it say 12 months?
Seems like it's more like 1 month for all mobiles…

        • sorry my mistake 1 month warranty for additional warranty you will have to pay.

      • "All products purchased through us is fully covered and if its Dead on arrival (DOA) we will arrange for replacement. Should you experience problems after the DOA period you simply goto you your local service centre, and we will pay to get it repaired for you..

For all mobiles we offer a 1 month seller's replacement warranty. "

    • So how does it work? 1 month DOA protection from the seller. How long do they warrant the good after the 1 month DOA period?

      • I bought a Gnote from DFC before. And so far so good.
I don't think I will send back my phone to repair if it's broken, it properbly never comes back… maybe wiser just forgo the warranty and repair it locally.
And another thing I want to say is, the code from topbuy actually works in DFC. I have accounts in both sites (same account name though), and I was able to use it in both sites.

  • Same company as TopBuy I think you will find.

Might be better to buy from Top Buy as the warranty seems better for $10 extra.

      http://www.topbuy.com.au/tbcart/pc/Samsung-GALAXY-S-III-i930…

      "Warranty:

All items have full Australian warranty where the work will be done by local manufacturer service centres. Simply contact us via TopBuy message system and we will advise you the most appropriate service procedures depending on your location and model."

One could argue that Full Australian Warranty is 24 Months like the official imported product.

That seems strange, as buying from TopBuy is a much better option.

      $546.95 - http://www.topbuy.com.au/tbcart/pc/Samsung-GALAXY-S-III-i930…

Same shipping, and if you sign up to their newsletter you get a $10 coupon code (actually you will get it when you start the checkout process, just check you email when you get to the screen that lets you put in coupon codes).

But they will give you a 12 month warranty, so you are paying a couple of dollars for a real warranty.

      • Good thinking 99.

      • $5 Discount Coupon tbNewCu4582635761 *$50 minimum spend excluding postage

$10 Discount Coupon tbNewCu4582635761B *$100 minimum spend excluding postage

        • Probably unique codes tied to your registration.

      • Coupon not available if you pay by paypal?

        • That's what it says. No coupons or rewards points.

        • Just confirming. It didn't say it in the email. Wondered if there were exceptions. Thanks.

        • The one click paypal button advises this. Didn't see anywhere else.

        • but login to topbuy checkout and you may be OK.

  • Looks like they are based off shore, so forget about enforcing a statutory warranty period of 12 months.

EDIT: and I see they don't believe in SSL for creating or managing accounts

  • Damn, last time I checked pebble blue was dearer.

Was hoping to wait for the 16GB to drop to around $500, but the 32GB for $561.90 is too good to pass up.
I equally hate and love Ozbargain at the same time!

  • Just bought the Samsung Galaxy S3 32GB Pebble Blue from Top Buy using Pay Pal and it accepted the $10 discount.
    This comes to 536.95 + 24.95 (shipping) = $561.90 !

    • did the same, but got a message from them few hours later saying they out of blue…do i want one in white for same price. not happy

      • But not using one click checkout.

      • Hmm… I didn't get that message. Got an order receipt confirming the blue 32GB. Site says they still have more in stock… maybe try again?

  • Both Toybuy and DFC are out of stock now ..

  • I haven't received my blue phone from topbuy yet. Ordered last wednesday when their website said it's in stock (3-7 days delivery). When I contacted them this week as the tracking didn't move at all, they said they are out of stock and will have new blue stock on Wednesday. Thursday, they sent me an email saying blue is out of stock, and asked me to take white instead; otherwise blue will be in stock next Thursday. Told them no, I want a blue. I wanted the phone for a present. It says on their website again that the blue is back in stock, funnily. I hope they miraculously find a blue from their 'in stock advertisement' and dispatch by tomorrow afternoon otherwise I am cancelling the order.

    • That's pretty crappy news harley.

I received mine from Topbuy today no problem (Pebble Blue). The paper manual is in Russian I think haha. I was expecting some sort of Asian characters on it.

Have yet to turn it on though and I'm worried as nowhere on the box does it state that it is a 32GB model. Fingers crossed

Thank you. Hope your's a 32GB. They didn't even bother to reply to my refusal to accept white. Though they moved my tracking from stock quality check to package (qc)? I don't think that means anything, but rather that they are holding out for me to cancel or thursday to come along. Glad that you received yours though and are having fun playing with it I'm sure :)

        • +1

I double checked it and it is marked on the bottom of the box.
So far so good. I'm loving the screen on this thing, very noticeable difference from the SGS2.

I hope it all works out for you.
