      It's clearly working, so yeah.

  • what is the hashrate?

  • +19

This is not a bargain, please stop posting, Crypto boom is over.

    • -3

This is about the same price as a 2080 at release, which was before the boom.

I think this is a decent-ish price. Sure cheaper would be good but for the amount of card you get, I think this isn't a rip.

      • +15

Shouldn't the 4080 be this price then?

        • +1

looking at the performance level, a 4070 ti is a really strong card. if i was in the market, I'd consider it.

          • +14

@Sxio: Yeah but every generation gets performance gains.
The current gen prices shouldn't be based on last gen performance

          • +3

            @Sxio: Is it really strong??

20% more powerful than a 2.5y old 3080 makes it really strong? Nah

            • @Dienk: You don't think the 3080 is strong?

              • +2

                @Sxio: https://youtu.be/W8ETNnQW33s

4070ti is 22% stronger than 3080 and cost (guest How much?) 22% more.

                So, what is the deal??

                • @Dienk: Didn't say it was a deal. Just said it was worth considering at this price for the level of performance on offer.

I have a 3080 and I'm really happy with it. For similar dollars now to what that cost then, to get a card that's 20% stronger, seems worth considering to me.

                  • @Sxio: But 3080 was already over priced due to blooming mining back then

                • @Dienk: is that for the 10 or 12 gb model?

      • -1

You can get a 2080 for $600-800 nowadays so the comparison isn't correct.

  • +5

    nah

  • +1

why is MSY the same as umart now, some merger that i wasn't aware of apparently

    • +8

Yeah Umart bought MSY late last year.

MSY annoyed the ACCC one too many times.

      • +3

the last fine they got was 700k ontop of having to refund all the customers they rejected previously to warrant such a fine

Hold if can, incoming 4070 april 13th. If we do not buy, demand is cooling on PC parts due too global financial issues. Stores will have to drop prices. People with savings will benefit, those who live on credit might miss out. Only buy if you really have too. And just try and get the best deal you can. But hold if possible, at leased till a few weeks after 4070 for market to react. Or just do what you want and ignore this AIbot.

    • The 4070 will likely be over a grand

    • +2

According to Moore's Law is Dead, 4070 non-Ti is tentatively priced at U$750. If so, it's DoA.

  • +1

buy if u have urgent or real need. hodl otherwise.

  • -1

At least this 4070 Ti outperforms the original 3080 10GB, and is at a similar price to the mythical RRP. So at least you are paying the same amount of money for more performance.

    • +5

Except they are 2.5y apart from each other….

      • People have been gaslit hard these part couple years into thinking having the price/performance stagnate is normal after 2.5 yrs (it isn't).

    • +1

Can't wait to pay $2000 for 5070ti, after all it'll be faster than the 4070ti!!!

      • This!!
