  • Please clarify OP, do you mean to say that for instance if you have 3 items in your basket, the first item will incur 14 euros and the second item will incur shipping that is less and so on and so forth?

Or do you mean the delivery fee is a flat 14 euros for several items?

But also have you ordered this for yourself to confirm?

    • +1

The second is correct. 14 Euros will be charged only once. Yes, I have put more than one item in my basket and it remained the same. I cannot say whether it holds true if you put 20 items int he basket though.

  • does anyone know if the instructions or the writing on the box would be in german?

    • +1

I'm pretty sure all Lego is the same and contains all languages

    • +3

They are just pictures aren't they?

      • Correct, all lego instructions use images only making it universal

  • Wouldn't allow me to slect an AU delivery address:
    Bitte beachten Sie
LEGO City 7938 - Passagierzug kann nicht an die ausgewählte Adresse versandt werden.

    • Sorry, that set wasn't one of the ones you linked. The others work.

  • LEGO Star Wars 7965 - Millennium Falcon has been as low as 99euros according to camelcamelcamel

    http://de.camelcamelcamel.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-7965-Millennium…

  • you should also check barnes & noble for lego - often cheaper than amazon.

    • Indeed , in some cases B&N is, but from memory there is a base $12 shipping charge and $5-6 for every extra item for non-member's orders

    • -1

Judging by this they won't send toys abroad anyway.

      • +2

They do send toys overseas. But Amazon is MUCH more reliable than bn.

        • not for the x-wing fighter (the only one i checked…!)

        • +2

Strange it works for me. US$72.93 shipped. For that price much better off ordering it from amazon.

      • Sent me my 6 LOTR Lego boxes in ~2 weeks, well packed & posted.
And all for US RRP less 10%!
        Happy camper :D

  • That's a ripper price for the Millenium Falcon.. cheapest I saw (and bought) in Oz was $210 (seen it cheaper but no stock!)

    • It was $149 last week delivered on fishpond.com.au. I bought a set…

      • Good luck following through with it. Fishpond is terrible and will cancel orders on a whim.

        • I bought seven boxes of lego from Fishpond a year ago with no issue whatsoever, though it does seem that ozbargainers have had mixed results with Fishpond.

  • It is not merely a matter of finding the cheapest prices but also whether or not they take off VAT and post to OZ. Sometimes it is better to have a slighly higher price and then have VAT taken off. Other sellers do not take off VAT. If it was merely about finding the cheapest price regardless of that and postage I could probably shave off another 30-40% for many of the deals I have posted. Unfortunately, Amazon seems to be the only one to be willing to send to OZ from Germany and take off VAT.

As regards camelx3 - I would not trust it so unconditionally, especially if the price is only for a very short amount of time. Could be listing mistakes.

How do you translate into English via IE??? Or does everyone miraculously understands/speaks Dutch these days???

    • Use chrome and built in Google translate. Amazon has the same button location across all its sites in different languages, so it should be intuitive even if translation fails

    • +4

Sorry mate - it is Amazon GERMANY not Amazon Netherlands (does not exist). In Germany they speak German not Dutch! Also use Google translate but in all fairness with Lego it should not be too hard to understand (and the ordering process is equivalent to the US site).

    • Found it…Google Translate!!!!!

  • Barnes and Noble definitely ship lego, and if there is an active voucher code (they often do 30% or 40% off purchases) then they do work out to be excellent value for money.

Their shipping however is not as prompt as Amazon, and can often take several weeks - sometimes 5 or 6 - to fulfil.

On the balance of price versus likely fulfilment time, I would say that this is a very good deal.

  • damn…wheres the R2D2 ultimate? Target had it for $199 but sold out in 1 day

  • winner, early xmas shopping.
LEGO Star Wars 7965 - Millennium Falcon
    LEGO Star Wars 9493 - X-wing Starfighter
LEGO City 4204 - Bergwerk (Mining)
    Massive saving.

Had to resist getting more. (Freight train with diesel locomotive etc)

    • And arrived today.

      • That's great. I hope this shuts up the people who keep insisting that it takes several weeks to receive items from Amazon.
Maybe it is of interest to you - I also posted some Playmobil deals.

        • haha I saw them, told you to combine them :P

Police station isn't a bargain - BigW have had it for $78 - $88 in the past, and you can buy it on eBay for under $90.

      1. On Ebay normally thereis postage. I just checked on ebay.com.au and there is nothing for that price. The cheapest was $90 plus massive postage from the US.

      2. So it was $88 in the past. How is that going to be of use NOW? Also, once you add up petrol and time you also get to $95 or more as the above is delivered to your door.

Hence I do not understand why this is not a good deal. If it was $77 (which it is if you buy another set) then this is a bargain because of $1 difference.

      Some people….

    • you can buy it on eBay for under $90

lol, no you can't, more like $130 delivered

    • I like the fact that ppl share better deals than the one posted but you should include links to support it.

  • I think its been ozbargained. I just tried buying the 7965 falcon and it doesn't let me go thru checkout.

  • See other posts regarding Amazon.de. They have stopped shipping to OZ for now.

    Shipping is ON again!

  • I just got refunded for some reason, then got an ad from Amazon for the same price a few minutes later?
