Laptop to Hisense A7 Screen Sharing

Hi, last year I purchased a Hisense A7 4K UHD TV.

I want to cast/share my Windows 11 laptop to it but have yet to manage it. Every other Hisense I have attempted to do this (work, hotels etc.) has had the Anytime cast app and I have had no problems in connecting.

The A7 doesn't have Anytime cast but "Screen Sharing" and I have yet to connect to this new Hisense option/app.

I am on the same network, I use Windows+K to bring up the connection options, it identifies the Hisense TV but it will never connect.

Does anyone use this 'Screen Sharing" option and have successfully connected a PC/Laptop to it? And if so what steps/checks did you use to accomplish this? I am pretty tech savvy but this keeps on stumping me.

Thanks very much.

  • I couldn't work it out either and so took the easy way out - HDMI cable.

    • Have done this a couple of times just to get it going but hopefully it won't be the permanent solution.

  • Hi, try using your phone/other-laptop to screen share with the tv as a test.
I had a sony tv (hotel accommodation) which my phone connected to easily but the laptop was 95% nightmare.

    • Thanks, the only thing I hadn't done until today was use another laptop.

Brought home my work laptop and it connected immediately so I need to figure why my fairly new ASUS won't do it.
      Should get there eventually.

      Cheers …
