It's replaced the paper cards they used to track purchases…
You effectively get 10% off… plus the odd bonuses/freebies now and then…It also allows them to target customers to entice them to make more purchases.

@jv: Hehen…no! It mainly helps (maybe you in particular?) people to make it easier to deal with different government entities. Keep it all in one roof so to speak.
BTW joined Baker's Delight hoping for some hot cross buns lovin' and no such luck. Bummer!

This has no strings attached, no spending required, no survey, just 1 free hot cross bun.
If you are seeing free hot cross bun 6 pack then that is the sign up offer and will require minimum $5 spend.

Yeah I think they are better. Bakers Delight hot cross buns very overpriced. I didn't find them very fresh/soft, they were quite small, and seriously lacking in the fruit and spice. No nice glaze on the top either. Thoroughly average..
Bakers Delight seemed better a few years ago but recently has been a bit hard and not as fresh. My favourite from Woolworths is the brioche hot cross bun.
I think it depends which store. Our Woolworth's stopped baking them instore and they now ship them in frozen, just not the same anymore.
On the other hand the Coles opposite still bakes them fresh and is much better than the frozen Woolworths option.
We buy from Woolworths with the bakery that still bakes them fresh daily. Otherwise they are frozen as you mentioned

Got my free bun. Can't beat Woolworths
Went to Woolworths and bought 2 X 6 packs for $6 ($2 off). Very soft and freshly madeJust registered and got the signup offer, free 6-pack bun for the next purchase with no mention of minimum spend. Took a while before things come in
Edit: tho on the website says $5 minimum spend
The best ones are the blueberry and coconut but at $12 a pack it's a bit rich!!! Even Ferguson plarre is $11 a 6 pack.
Guess I'll stick to Coles Apple and Cinnamon as they're very nice.
