You can always stick it on a full frame camera and crop in - it will act as the equivalent (I think) of a f/2.14 24.5mm full frame lens.

Oops, you're right about there being 2 dates. The ship date is listed as 12/01 and the arrival date as 14/01. I'm sceptical.
