    What is a writting instrument?

    • +2

Fancy word for a pen. A fancy pen

      • +7

I think you mean a "penn"

    • It's what you see on your bill if you go to a fancy lawyer and sign with their writing instrument.

      • It's also the upgraded weapon in John Wick 3

  • Seiko Pen

I like Seiko diver time telling instruments.

Would have preferred a watch pen

  • So tempted…. Anyone tell me a reason not to buy this?

    • +1

      Nope.

I have this watch on right now and it is such a beautiful watch (even compared to my Omega Planet Ocean)
I paid $1200 2 years ago this is definitely a bargain.

    • the bezel aligns on mine (blue version) and the polished bezel looks better then the matte one, and the bezel clicks are very nice

    • I have two of them. This version and the Special Edition PADI. They are incredible for the price. This could be my only watch if I was a one watch guy. Wears like a 42mm.

  • Thats a great price.

  • Hey OP. Any chance you might be able to offer something similar for the SPB143? I know the RRP is more so the "special price" would likely be more but I have to ask :-)

Why is the rrp so high if it was replaced with spb101j https://lindajewellers.com/product/seiko-prospex-sumo-gents-…
Only difference aesthetically is the hour hand.
Mechanically the 6r35 has a 70 hr power reserve and is a newer watch.

    • +1

It's not the same watch. The SPB101 has been out for sometime too and the finishing on this one should be better. You're not wrong otherwise, they are similar-sized watches with similar specs and movements.

This is a baby Marine Master, not a Sumo. Very similar specs, but I believe this model has the Diashield Coating so less susceptible to scratches on the steel. Different case styles too, although the rrp of the Sumo is not that much cheaper

OP, anything on the blue version SPB083J instead?

  • Great price and brilliant watch. Wears beautifully. DiaShield and bracelet are big pluses

  • Pretty good price. For those wondering, these go for around $800 second hand, or closer to $1k if in perfect condition. So good value here.

  • I got the ‘blue hole’ version when $900. It’s pretty but not worth $900 and certainly not worth the outlandish rrp $2000. The cheap movement runs over a minute slow per week so I have to keep adjusting. (I’ll open and adjust it myself when warranty runs out or when I get sick of it). The crown feels rougher than any cheap aliexpress watch I have, it arrived feeling extremely raspy but has smoothed to just being rough. It’s pretty, shiny, nicely shaped to sink into the wrist and the band is good. Basically it’s a pig in a dress. It failed to satisfy the vain pathetic urge but I got what I deserved. Thanks Seiko.

Just picked one up, wears smaller than a normal 44mm. Nice watch. Was able to call up and pick one up. The "writing" instrument is a seiko twist ball point pen.
