My quote: 6% more than the Victorian Default Offer (VDO) hah!

Gift Cards are valid for 3 months from the issue date

That's pretty shitty of woolworths tbh. Wonder how many of these giftcards go unused…

    • i wasted the 100$ gift card.

  • how about existing customer. :(

    • Which one are you, Lumo or AGL?

      Just pick the other one.

      • I still want to stay with AGL for now…

    • Hey simon 84, can you please confirm with which retailer you are currently.

      • Hi Manyo,
I am with AGL for several years

        • Hey simon 84, yes you may go ahead and switch your plan with AGL and avail this offer.

  • Can you speak with the representative in econnex to do comparison, the energy & gas comparison on the site doesn't show that I get the best offer if I switch, thanks.

  • Received an email from Tango energy today

"Based on your past usage, we estimate you’ll pay $621.80 more, inclusive of GST, per year after
    the new prices take effect"

My last bill for 60 days was under $100, and we don't have ducted gas heating, only a gas log fireplace.

    • @TEER3X

I got the same email from Tango today. Tango's gas rates are going up by around 33.3% on 5 April. Globird's rates are now better (for me, but YMMV). Transfer request submitted.

      NC

      • I got:

Based on your past usage, we estimate you’ll pay $629.63 more

80% jump in rates for me…

        • Missing my 1.91c per MJ that I had with Powershop up until Feb this year… should have appreciated it more

  • I am not receiving otp. Anyone else having an issue?

    • bargaingalor3, Can you please confirm, which state and retailer you are choosing

      • Nsw agl

Its all a scam, i never received my gift card last July for the same offer

    • Hey jono78, can you please send us the reference number in order to check the application.

      I got mine without issue

Anyone considering these sort of deals would do well to check the OP's post history and the discussions in previous posts (there's a lot of negative votes & complaints about the gift cards).

Dear Mr Judge, we have few terms and conditions to keep a track of, and if everything is done as per the terms, you wouldn't have to contact us, But the customers miss out on the details, so they miss out on the gift card. Here are a few T&Cs step by step to keep in mind.

      1. Always use the link provided in the promo, which helps us to track the application, if that is not done correctly, then the CX will not receive the gift card

      2. you have to stay with the switched retailer for 30 days (Energy) 45 days ( NBN). if the application is cancelled in that period, Cx will not receive the gift card.

3.cx will recieve the gift card within 90-120 days after the date of activation, not sign-up

e-gift card is sent via email from [email protected] or [email protected].

5.Gift Cards are valid for 3 months from the issue date and Gift Cards are not reloadable or redeemable for cash.

Generally, customers miss out 1or 2 points and do not get the gift card as scheduled

Did you just assume my gender?

        • The Judge, Rookie mistake, our apologies.

          • @Manyo: LMAO good one. So funny to see how corporate wonks jump whenever the woke nonsense is dragged out.

        • yes I am and I forever do

    • I've got mine in the past

I'd like to reiterate The Judge's sentiments around the provision of gift cards. Seeing a new deal on OzB prompted me to follow up with the OP. The response I received included vague answers such as:

your gift card was sent out around

    and

you would have received your e-gift card via email from [email protected] or [email protected]

The OP then ultimately declined my request to have the gift card resent.

Hey JROX20, please do not mislead and inform half of the conversation,

This was what we have answered you, and if you want your expired gift card to be sent out, sure we can do that.

Hey mate, you would have received your e-gift card via email from [email protected] or [email protected]

The date of issue was 10 June 2022 and you would have received it by 12th -15th June 2022, which expired on Sept 23.

As per the terms and conditions Gift Cards are valid for 3 months from the issue date and Gift Cards are not reloadable or redeemable for cash.

      • Alarm bells already, with 3mth expiry on gift cards

Ulysses31, As you have shared this link, we would like to highlight the category under which our promotions falls-

          Included and excluded cards-

The three year requirement does not apply to gift cards that are:

          1. able to be reloaded or topped up

2.for a good or service available for a limited time where the card or voucher expires at the end of that period (e.g. entry to a concert or museum exhibition)

3.supplied to a purchaser of goods or services as part of a temporary marketing promotion (e.g. a wine voucher valid for one month that is mailed to a consumer as a free bonus with a purchased item and was not part of the purchase offer)

4.donated free of charge for promotional purposes (e.g. a local shopping centre has a one-day marketing promotion where each visitor to the centre on that day is handed a $20 gift card that is valid for use at any store in the centre for that day only)
5.sold for a particular good or service at a genuine discount (e.g. $50 card for salon service valued at $100)
supplied as part of an employee rewards program

6.given as a bonus in connection with a purchase of a good or service for use in the same business (customer loyalty programs)

          7.second-hand gift cards.

8.part of a temporary marketing promotion (e.g. customers buy a certain product from Business A, which provides a $50 voucher to use at Business B).

Econnex as business falls under the 8th point.

  • I don't understand all the hate for these guys, I've switched nbn once and electricity twice and have no complaints about my $300 of gift cards (which I spent before they expired)
Seriously, it's not hard to follow the instructions

@Manyo Mate, my voucher for the switch on 23 November hasn't arrived. (reference# 1669175650)
you commented on this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758321 in Feb that it will be sent the week of 25 Mar (4 months after switch) and this is the week of 25th March but no voucher.
If this is the experience, I will not be recommending you to anyone

    • Hey BargainZo, our sincere apologies for the delay, we have notified our concerned team and you will receive the gift card by 10th April 2023.

  • Hi, can we apply again? I used your service to switch for gift cards back in December, can I use it again to switch for another set of gift cards?

    • Hey michael9865, for which vertical did you signup for in December?

      • I can't remember but it was through Econnex for agl, thinking of ysing you again to switch to lumo if i can get the voucher again

        • Hey michael9865, yes you can switch to Lumo and you will be eligible for a gift card.

  • Is this deal still valid?

    • Hey Sarinella, unfortunately, mate the deal is expired now.

      • Any plans on repeating this deal?
