Kanto 40% off All Speakers - YU4 $459, YU6 $529, TUK $960, SUB8 $449 + $25 Delivery @ Kanto Australia

150

Appears to be a sale for March. Ordered myself and was posted the next day via TNT express.

Not all colours are available but some items are still 10+. Seems to be the only place these are on sale by a decent margin.

YU4: https://kanto.com.au/product/yu4/ (Black sold out at the time of this post so it displays RRP - change via dropdown)
YU6: https://kanto.com.au/product/yu6/
TUK: https://kanto.com.au/product/tuk/
SUB8: https://kanto.com.au/product/sub8/

From my research these are a great competitor to the likes of Audioengine and are a great mix of aesthetics and good quality audio.

At TUK price point, I suggest you try Edifier S3000pro. The planner tweeter is super detailed and sweet. Has all the bells and whistles as this one and a bigger driver 6.5".

    • I don't think the S3000pro has a subwoofer output. Might be a deal breaker for some

      • Yea if all you want is very loud and low bass, then s3000pro not for you.

      • I have dual subs with my s3000pro

  • Ordered the YU4's (Walnut) on Sunday. Did a lot of research and they reviewed very, very well. I will be using them in my office connected to the PC. IMHO you can beat them for looks.

Also got the Kanto SP9 Stands from HeyNow HIFI ($143 shipped) - sign up to newsletter to get 10% by clicking the "Get Discount" code.

Audioengine models were comparable and also highly recommended in review. So depends on what you think looks better / suits your requirements but at $512 shipped I grabbed the YU4's straight away.

    • Yeah I ordered the YU4 white and the SE4W stands as I found the SP6 and SP9 looked a little bulky to me for my desk setup. Maybe if it was for a lounge or something else they would have suited me better.

      • Nice! Doing up the office with a new desk so I'll have a fair bit of desk space and saw people with the SP9 stands that looked good. Can't go wrong with either as I saw desks that looked great with both types of stands.

Upgrading from a 10 year old set of Logitechs so looking forward to the upgrade.

  • Kanto Yu makes a great tv speakers. Can vouch.

  • I'm thinking of ordering a set for my Mac Studio. Currently running a headphone dac/amp setup. Could I just plug these in to my headphone amp RCA? Running schiit stack, magni/modi setup.

Yes, YU4 and YU6 have RCA inputs. That's the exact setup i'm running infact!

EDIT: I should clarify, the RCA outputs on the back of the Magni are pre-amp outputs so this is what they're intended for.

      • Awesome, I was 90% sure I could. Ordered a set.

May be a false alarm but I have a vibe Kanto Australia may be closing down? Or Final Link Audio aren't stocking them anymore?

I have not seen 40% off sale before on Kanto Gear and it only started last Thu/Fri.
The Kanto Australia Website went down for maintenance during the day today.
I just got an email from HeyNow HIFI saying they can't supply the SP9 bases and they have taken all the Kanto items off their site.

    See how things go.

Interesting. I've already received mine and as you mentioned it's distributed by Final Link Audio. Maybe Kanto is changing distributors in Australia. They are still listed as a dealer in Australia as well as Amazon and Audio Source. https://www.kantoaudio.com/dealers/

I just called up Final Link Audio and they said they've dropped Kanto so I'll mark this as expired. He said that Kanto is not going anywhere and not to be concerned with any warranty or support issues as they would still have gone through the same channels.
